The food here is amazing. You can’t go wrong with your choice. My favorite is the Sombrero Loco, but you better have a large appetite because it’s a huge serving of food. Defiant not for the weak. Roxy and her staff pour their heart and soul in the food and that’s the missing ingredient in many local restaurants. You’ll live the atmosphere, the people and most of all the food!

El Sombrero Loco is definitely one of the best places to eat in Rio Grande City and the RGV. The restaurant offers amazing food and service, with caring and attentive servers and great owners. Customers feel like they are dining at a family member's home after eating there. The atmosphere is one of tranquility and peace, except when the karaoke machine is going, which adds a lively touch. The menu features genuine, authentic Mexican food with a South Texas flair. The restaurant is truly a gem in Starr County, and its spacious parking and wheelchair accessibility make it a great choice for all diners.
