We ordered Veg Dum Biryani, Karapodi Gobi, Aloo Paneer Kulcha, and Garlic Naan.

Let me break it down honestly.

Karapodi Gobi
Visually, it looked great, with crispy florets coated in spices. However, the first bite immediately told a different story. There was barely any salt. The texture was good, and the spice mix had potential, but the lack of basic seasoning completely muted the flavor. It felt unfinished.

Aloo Paneer Kulcha
This was not a kulcha at all. Instead of the slightly crisp, flaky bread you expect from a proper kulcha, what we received was essentially naan stuffed with aloo. It was soft and doughy and missing the signature kulcha texture. It was not bad bread, but it was not what we ordered.

Veg Dum Biryani
This was the biggest disappointment. The rice did not have the rich aroma or layered spice you expect from dum cooking. It lacked depth and freshness and honestly felt reheated. It tasted flat and old, as if it had been sitting for days. I have had biryani all over DFW, including Dallas, Frisco, and Plano, and this was by far the worst. I am writing this while dealing with an upset stomach, which says a lot.

Raita
The raita was extremely watery, more like diluted yogurt than proper raita. It hardly had any onions or green chilies and tasted bland.

Salan
The salan tasted old. The oil had separated, and the flavor was not fresh. It did not complement the biryani at all.

Overall, the meal did not feel freshly prepared. The gobi had potential but was under seasoned, the kulcha was not authentic, and the biryani experience was genuinely disappointing.

This place was absolutely AMAZING, we got the Saag Paneer, Chicken Tikka Masala, cheese Naan, and garlic Naan. Every bite was to die for!!!!
The service was also outstanding and we were exceptionally taken care of. Our server was so attentive and kind and made our experience even better.
We can not wait to return!!!!!

Loved the food at Deccan Spice. The Mutton Ghee Roast Pulao was easily the best dish, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. Chicken 65 and Paneer Tikka were great starters and tasted even better with fresh naan. Will definitely visit again.

​The food here is really good and the service is excellent. Our server was very helpful and took the time to explain the menu and give us recommendations on what to try.
​The Food:
​Appetizers: We started with the Samosas; they were okay, but not the highlight of the meal.
​Mains: The Mutton Ghee Roast was really good. We also tried the Karivepaku Paneer. I loved that there was no artificial coloring in the food—health-wise, I highly suggest this dish!
​Second Course: We ordered the Bullet Naan and Malai Kofta, which were both great. The Guthi Vankaya Pulav was also tasty, though it needed just a pinch more salt.
​The Atmosphere:
I really wanted to give this place 5 stars, but I’m rating it a 4 due to the restrooms. While they were visually very clean, there was an unbearable smell inside. They likely need to switch to a different cleaning liquid or improve ventilation.
​Overall:
A really good experience overall. I’ll definitely be back for that mutton and paneer!

Delicious food! It can be challenging to find a place in this area with good vegetarian food, so happy I ordered the butter paneer masala with garlic naan. The restaurant is also clean and the staff super friendly.

Extremely poor delivery service. I placed an order through the portal, but the restaurant manager had no idea where the order was. Overall, a very frustrating experience.

The food was very delicious and the check tikka masala was exceptional. Sashi provided excellent service. Will definitely come back.
