Casual setting with excellent quality food and prompt, polite service. Very good for lunch if you are in the area.

Foster's Sushi in downtown Roanoke is under new management and they have made significant improvements to their restaurant and the quality of their food.
The new family took over just a couple weeks ago and they are looking to improve the menu here in the next few weeks.
You should definitely check them out if you're into sushi and anything with a Korean twist. … See more

Wow such incredible sushi and AWESOME service. We had the Tuna Salmon Heaven and the riceless Foster's Roll. Miso soup as well. Jasmine and two other beauties were our servers and they greeted us with charm, poise and friendliness that came from the heart. You are missing out if you don't eat here. Get Jasmine as your server. Sweetest person and so dedicated to making our experience absolutely PERFECT. This is the best sushi in the area, guys.

first time coming here, incredible service positive attitudes needless to say the food was amazing.
I also liked their clear soup so much I asked if I could get another one and they said it was on the house!
food was a little pricey but I think with the service and the taste of the food it makes sense. Lunch hours are cheaper than dinner. But again I think it’s worth it I would most likely go again.

Solid spot. The food was fresh and flavorful. The Tuna tower was a generous portion, for sure. Service was prompt and friendly and the beer was nice and cold.

this place has gone downhill in the past year or so. huge price increases, poor service. Mystery charges if you order for pickup on doordash, will never come back here again ive tried to hang on since the food is good but management or whoever is responsible is terrible

Watered down Martini. Overcooked appetizer. Nice setting. Known for sushi. Instead of choice of gin or vodka, I asked for a combo (Vesper). Wanted $2 upcharge.

We got there Saturday around 1 pm. We were 1 of the only 2 tables there and the service was terrible. The lady was not attentive at all it was quite frustrating. To start no water until our food came out. We ordered 60$ in drinks and they took over 30 mins to get to the table. The food was good no complaints there. I ordered 1 more drink after the food was done and it never came, i even asked the lady what happened with my order and turns out she never put it in. I canceled it, gave her a good tip around 40$ and just left. Never coming back. Keep in mind we were the only customers there at the time excluding the other table.

The food is amazing and the staff are super friendly~
I came for a late lunch and was sorely disappointed. The price of the food does not match its quality which baffles me. I’ve read so many reviews of others bragging that their experience, food and price especially, was top tier. I ordered the calamari which I feel was not an appropriate amount for the portion. I ordered the Dark Samurai for my entree which was not good. The rice was over cooked, the unagi was over seasoned and the pile of fried onions just took the salt content over the top. I ate three bites trying to give it a chance but could not stomach anymore. I decided to order a Poke bowl and they served a sad amount of tuna on a huge bed of spring greens… that’s not a Poke bowl. In my opinion, it should naturally be served with sushi rice and spring greens should be offered as a substitution. I was sorely disappointed but I think there room for improvement. The menu needs to be refined and a quality test needs to be done so that consistency becomes muscle memory. Some combinations don’t work and maybe should be discontinued. Just my two cents. Service on the other hand was okay.
