This is just something you have to do. When you're in Texas, do as the Texans do and get some Texas BBQ. The whole experience has a ranch feel. You need to get the jalapeno creamed corn and I just get a jalapeno bun on the side with lots of butter. As for the meat, the ribs are okay but the brisket is absolutely pinnacle. Get some extra to take home. I like the Roanoke location best because it's a little historic town and it's got a great little street you can walk on and go and get some candy for the kids next door or get a drink in one of the cantina's.

I simply love this place. The staff is super friendly. The food goes above and beyond. I can't get enough of that lemon garlic butter on my steak or prime rib. Let alone my chicken or shrimp poppers!

If you love barbecue, you will love High Eight BBQ. We came from out of state just to try their barbecue. They serve it right off the grill. You can see the cook cut the pieces of meat that you want. Staff was very friendly and attentive.

Absolutely fantastic spot. I live in a wildly different spot in the country and I've b3en to Texas 2 times in my life and each time I visited I went to Hard 8. Excellent BBQ, I recommend the ribs and the brisket. Fantastic.
