Best Chicken Piccata I have ever had! We love this place - easily the best Italian restaurant in town.

I came in with high expectations, but unfortunately left disappointed. I wish it were quality over quantity at Strumolo's. Both me and my grandmother embarrassingly spit out the Chicken Parmesan we ordered since it immediately tasted off and gamey. Definitely not good chicken they served. The Caprese Salad was just alright, a little sloppily prepared. Ordered the Scallops and Pancetta pasta to go and my grandfather didn't care for that either since it was drowned in fat. Also wish the server came to check on us a little more frequently. She gave us dipping oil for the bread, but never brought the bread. And we had to flag someone else's attention down just to send the Chicken Parm back. Definitely won't be returning.

The food was good, service was a bit slow.

My family took my mom here for Mother's Day Lunch and it was great! All of the food was a 10/10!! Our waiter was also extremely kind and answered all of our questions. I'll definitely be back! We started out with the calamari and the Caesar salad for 2 was shared between us all. The salad was so huge we even had leftovers! I shared the shrimp fra diavolo for 2 with my sister. The shrimp was cooked well and the noodle to sauce ratio was perfect. I also liked how we had the option between mild and spicy if you are sensitive to heat. My mom really enjoyed the the chicken piccata! It was refreshing and light. And the pepperoni pizza had the perfect cheese to sauce ratio. We all ended up having leftovers! I'd love to go back one day and try more!

Great little Italian venue on Main Street in Roanoke. It's unique as they portion everything for 2 or 4 people. Overall their food has been great for take out and we love the leftovers. Chicken Picatta - 5 Stars Sausage and Veggies - 5 Stars Chicken Parmesana - 4 Stars Shrimp Scampi - 0 Stars My favorite dish is their chicken picatta as the sauce is creamy and tang with tender chicken and al dente pasta. My husband likes the sausage and veggies which is actually a side dish but is an entree in my opinion. He is a big fan of anything chicken with pasta. I think they had an off night when I ordered the shrimp scampi, it was more like shrimp swampi. The pasta was sitting in so much water/sauce it made the pasta mush and the shrimp was over cooked and rubbery. No flavor! I ate a few bites and then threw the whole meal away. That was an expensive dish so I would not recommend this dish. We have never dined in so I can't say much about that experience but over all give them a try.

Great Italian food and selection of wine, the chicken Marsala is one of the best I've ever had, and the bread is amazing. We also stop in for their espresso martinis, they are delicious!!

Seating is spaced out and hand sanitizer is tight at the front. The chicken alfredo and the chicken marsala are EVERYTHING!!! The desserts were a miss in our opinion. We had the cannoli cake as well as the midnight chocolate cake. Both desserts were dry and the cannoli cake had an undesirable after taste. If they can perfect the desserts like they have the entrees then they will be unstoppable

This place is amazing. One of the few in my opinion that has that real authentic taste. The food was so fresh and full of flavor. If you're close in the area I highly recommend giving this place a chance. You also get lots of food for your money! Can't beat it.

I love their garlicky meatballs, they are the best. Their bread is amazing too. It's family style, so the portions are huge, but meant to be shared. This is easily the best Italian food in Roanoke.

We tried this restaurant for the first time, and not impressed in the least. There was only 4-5 other customers in the entire place, and the service was so slow. We will not go back.
