I stopped here to grab lunch and I must say the agua de horchata is the closest I've tasted to the ones I used to get in Mexico and these memories are from over 20years ago. That in of itself made this place worth it. However, the gorditas were also good got 3 each with a different kind of meat. Even though one looked like it was just boiled and wouldn't have much flavor. I was wrong it was surprisingly very tender and flavorful. If I'm ever in the area I hands...

I love this place. It has a homemade authentic Mexican flavor to it. Would eat here everyday. Mexican home cooking for sure. Everyone is so friendly. Happy I found this spot. Pic: An entire fried fish and (2) sides under $20!

Tacos Azteca is a quaint Mexican restaurant near PetSmart and Dollar Tree in Roanoke. The décor is simple yet charming, with colorful Mexican flags hanging from the ceiling and a portrait of Frida on the wall.

Our server, Norman, greeted us warmly the moment we walked in and immediately made us feel welcome. This authentic restaurant gave us a chance to practice our Spanish—Norman happily took our bilingual order.
