This little gem has been hiding 8 miles from the house for the past twenty years! What a great restaurant! The food was well portioned and delicious, the services was excellent and the atmosphere enjoyable. The cabbage is a must!

I have been to the Classic Cafe at Roanoke multiple times, and have loved it every time. The atmosphere is always small-town vibes, which is one of my favorite restaurant vibes. The whole staff was amazing. They were respectful, hilarious, and friendly. When my food came out, so did the question from the staff asking how the food is. My server was amazingly nice, and he went above and beyond to make sure that I was pleased with dinner.I got the Apple-wood Smoked Salmon Pasta that had an extremely glorious taste. There was an expertly smoky taste.

The service was very good and the setting felt comfortable, but the food was underwhelming and very overpriced in light of that. I will not return.

Unbelievable food and amazing service! The smoked salmon app and poblano soup is superb as was the red fish and peach pecan bread pudding! This is my favorite spot when I'm in town.

My mother-in-law took my husband and I here to celebrate his birthday. We all could not say enough about how delicious the food was! The steak was SO tender, mashed potatoes and green beans were perfect! And the Creamy Roasted Poblano soup was amazing! My husband said his Ceasar salad was the best he has ever had. We were so full, we could not hold any dessert. But, they brought a small bowl of ice cream with fresh berries and wrote around the plate "Happy Birthday" in chocolate and brought us 3 spoons. So, thoughtful!! We had a wonderful time and will definitely go back. A great place to celebrate special occasions!

The service and food was outstanding. Our longtime waitress was as gracious, helpful and knowledgeable as always. This is our go-to when we celebrate our birthdays and anniversary. We highly recommend Classic Cafe.

The Classic Cafe at Roanoke is fine dining at its best. Always incredible, never pretentious. The service is always impeccable, and the food never misses. Tonight, the Australian Lamb Chops were amazing, cooked medium rare and full of flavor. We started with the smoked salmon, and a cup of the roasted pablano soup, which started things perfectly. We finished off our meal with the Texas Sheet cake and Creme Brulee which were perfectly prepared. Our server took great care of us and attended to our needs with great detail, banter and politeness. The Classic is a definite goto for a great romantic dinner on that special occasion.

This restaurant has been a favorite of mine for years, however , on Valentine’s Day it was the worst food I have ever had . It was price fix menu, the duck was tough and very fat with grissel .I could not eat it, my wife got steak, she ate a few bites and gave rest to me, it was not a good cut of meat , I did not eat either. Tomato soup was very good, blue berry pie was good . It was a disappointment, I probably will not go back

This is our go to for celebrations and it did not disappoint! Hard to beat the food - and the owners are great people! Not your ordinary "Big and Fancy" more like quaint and intimate with great food!

We've been going there off and on for years. I misread the write-up about the Valentine's Day menu thinking the price was for couples. I found the price to be more than expected and was surprised that coffee or tea was not included in the $100 per person dinner. Since we hadn't been there in sometime, I didn't realize that they no longer provided the complimentary appetizer. When I asked, was told that was provided when they had an Executive Chef. The atmosphere and service is always outstanding. We will visit again.

Great night. Trout and red snapper were both outstanding. As much care went into the preparation of the sides as in the entrees. Servers anticipated our needs and were polite, professional and helpful. Had peach bread pudding for dessert; it was good but not great as was the rest of the meal.

There was outstanding service from our waiter. Like there was an affordable option on the wine list for a very enjoyable pinot noir. The deserts were delicious with my favorite being the apple crumble with jalapeño. Nice white table cloth atmosphere where you are comfortable dressing up or wearing pressed jeans.
