Tropical Smoothie Cafe

I’ve gone through the drive thru twice at this location and both times have not been a great experience. A few nights ago, the store looked closed, lights were off but Google said there was 40 mins till closing. We order and staff seemed bothered that we did. Took staff 10 mins to greet us at the window then another 10 to get our smoothies. When we got our smoothies, they tasted so watery like there was more ice in it than actual ingredients. I like Tropical Smoothie but wouldn’t recommend this location.

The woman at the drive trough was very rude. I said hi when we pulled up and she just looked at me. I saud have a good day once we got our smoothie and again she didn't say anything. Go somewhere else!

We just waited around 20 mins in the drive thru for 2 small smoothies. While they apologized AFTER we finally got our order because they were having card reader issues-it would have been nice for someone to just open the window and tell us that beforehand. We were close to just leaving because NO ONE was at or near the window and we had no idea what was taking so long for such a small order. At one point we could even see the order just sitting by the window. Please be more communicative-it goes a long way.

I have been SO unhappy with Tropical Smoothie. The rude drive thru girl always asks if I want change back. Last time it was $8 change and this time $2 … umm yea, I want my change back?! Have you seen inflation! Then I asked her about it and she said it’s protocol. Total lies. I’ve heard that food has been spit in. Like what is going on. Probably will never go back for this reason. Also, there are a few really sweet ppl that work there… a couple of the girl and the guy with blonde hair is awesome. Y’all need to get rid of the bad apples and put some good ppl in minus the ones I mentioned above.

Waited 20 mins in the drive through for a flate bread and they didnt even get the right order! They were not sorry, and told me it will take 2-4 days to get my money back. Since I was on a time crunch and could not turn around to get the correct order since my order took 20 minutes to get through the drive thru! Heather the manager at the Roanoke location seemed clueless of what was going on in her store.

Very pleasant and knowledgeable staff. I needed coffee and about to order the Mocha Madness and staff very kindly asked if I needed the coffee taste or energy. He was upfront to let me know it would only have the taste of coffee but not the caffeine boost I needed! I got the very yummy Acai and Spinach Feta & Pesto instead and glad I did! Always love when eateries have good vegetarian options that are delicious and healthy!

The food and smoothies are exceptional here. The staff was friendly the reason for 4 stars is because if you buy a smoothie and entree you get a discount on your smoothie. I mentioned it to the girl at the register to make sure it was applied. She assured me it was but then after I got my receipt she had only given us one discount. We bought two entrees and two smoothies so there should of been two discounts.

Had to wait 10 minutes for a smoothie. They had only 1 other customer on a Saturday afternoon. They should ask customers that have ordered sandwiches/etc to pull into a parking spot so those of us not waiting on the oven can be served faster

Great delicious food, but DO NOT go here if you’re in a hurry. Was in drive through line for 45 min and eventually got to the window, watching their employee blowing up balloons and everyone hanging out.

I’m not typically one to leave reviews but I can’t help myself. I’ve gone to this location a few times since being home from college and each time I am greeted with kindness. No matter who takes my order they are always so kind. I know working in the food industry can be stressful but you would never guess that these employees are stressed out at all. There’s one young man who works there, Im not sure what his name is but he’s amazing. Each time he’s taken my payment at the window he always tells me to have a great rest of my day and to drive safe. It truly brightens my day each time. I 100% recommend stopping here if you have any interest at all!

I was trying to place an order on the website for the Plano location and when I reviewed my receipt it defaulted to the trophy club location. I called this location and spoke to a gentleman the first time and he said that he voided the transaction and I should see it back on my card. I waited a week and did not see it! Second time a called I spoke to a lady, she was not friendly at all and sounded like I was annoying her she said she will let her supervisor know and I should receive a callback. I waited another couple days no call or refund! Third time a called a believe I spoke to the supervisor she said that she was going to talk to the district manager to get this taken care and that I should receive a call or an email! NOTHING!!! It has been almost a month and I have not received anything! I am out a little over $60 for food I never received!! It’s the customer service and lying for me!! Yal haven’t even been opened long and just reading other people reviews sound like the is just how this location operates, very disappointing!

Everyone saying there is a long wait is 100% right! Waited at the window for about 10 minutes. Even had 2 employees come by and look at me through the window (one of the girls was on her personal cell phone taking a call) sad first experience. I ended up just driving away without my drinks cause that was ridiculous.

Wait time is outrageous! For food that's pre-made and all you have to do is heat up it sure takes for ever to make. Stuck in drive through for 20 minutes and it's not even busy.
