“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’m Lance Waldo, one of the senior judges for the Southern Crawfish Cook-Off Association (SCCA), and I recently had the pleasure of dining at SR Boil House in Rockport with a large party. The entire experience was outstanding. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome, and the atmosphere was perfect for a true Gulf Coast feast. The food itself was nothing short of amazing—fresh, perfectly seasoned, and served piping hot. As judges, we taste a lot of crawfish, gumbo, and Cajun-style dishes throughout the year, and SR Boil House set a very high bar. Our group sampled a wide range of items, and every plate was a hit. The flavors were authentic, balanced, and clearly crafted with care. It was the kind of meal that reminded us why Rockport is such a special place for seafood lovers. Whether you’re a competitor, a fan of Cajun cook-offs, or just someone who enjoys top-notch food, I highly recommend SR Boil House. “OMG! What a gem!! The hubs and I dropped in for some fresh seafood and was not disappointed at all. We did some Black Friday shopping first and then desperately needed a cold beer and a snacky snack. The beer was ice cold, the oysters, ice cold and very fresh! But the real treat was the boil. Spicy lemon seasoning on boiled shrimp, crab clusters, sausage, potatoes and corn. We shared and it was the perfect amount. Oh....the service was spot on!!“
