This was the first and last time that I will ever come to this place. I visit my son, that lives in Rockport a few times a year and decided to try this place. The food was below average. The shrimp was extremely small and only a few pieces. The flounder, that I had, was overcooked and the veggies had no taste. In addition, we went on a Saturday evening and there was nobody in the restaurant except for employees. Most restaurants are packed on Saturday nights. The only two bright spots was the abundant amount of parking spots and the service was good. The price also was higher than I expected. When we go out to eat in Rockport again, we will not be considering this place again.
Way overpriced for the food you get. I ordered the coconut shrimp that cost $14 and it came with 3 shrimp. Also the table next to us both ordered shrimp gumbo and both of their bowls of gumbo didn’t have a single shrimp in it. And my $28 platter had 2 shrimp, 1 piece of fish and was the size of a child’s plate.
The atmosphere was nice. Very friendly employees. Great food . Me and my husband will be back. I enjoyed the water front view enjoyed watching the birds and boats coming in.
Wonderful seafood. Large establishment. Great service. The blackened catfish plate and the Mahi special were incredible. We had a fantastic bread pudding for desert.
My wife and I are from Corpus Christi and live in Ohio. We have family in and around Rockport. We've been eating at CP's for decades. The food has gone down hill since our last visit in May. We are avoiding the place now.

Hadn't been here in a while so I ordered the steak and shrimp kabobs, veggies, and rice. What a disappointment for $34. My vegetables were charred, not cooked and 3 pieces of steak. One simple solution is to fire the cook. I went at 2pm so they can't say they were extremely busy. I've eaten here before and it's food is always better. I let my waiter Larry know and he said he would talk to the manager, so I let it go. I won't be back anytime soon.

A true survivor of a restaurant here since the mid-1970s. It's comfort to my soul to come back, after my last visit 45 years ago, to find it expanded and better than ever! Try the Blackened Amberjack... And that salad bar is HUGE!

Fish was a disaster, veggies over cooked...there wasn't anything about this meal I liked. Friend had a burger of all things said it was ok.
I would give 2 stars but the service was prompt and courteous. Our food was cold and lackluster taste I would not recommend

The fried fish was not fresh and heavily battered with no flavor. The gumbo was ok. I expected better quality food.

I wanted to really like this spot. Was looking forward to fresh seafood and iced tea.
Starting with the water. We are not locals. The water had a weird taste, which made the tea taste horrible.
We ordered shrimp brochette, which had no jalapeno and no cheese, only bacon wrapped. The scholton shrimp looked delicious on paper, but something in the stuffing tasted pickled and threw the flavors out of balance.
My wife had the fried shrimp. She did not finish them. I tried to, as I love shrimp, but they had no seasoning! We left half her order on the plate.
The gumbo tasted as if it was made with tomato soup rather than a traditional roux.
I ordered the stuffed flounder. It was a disappointing way to spend $32. The same stuffing was used to stuff the flounder. Again, it seemed like pickles were used.

Was very disappointed. For the price I definitely expected good food at least. The fish was bland. The crab cake was ok. But the crab and shrimp nachos were the most disappointing. Taste like cream cheese. That's it. The texture and visual was like vomit.
