Waitress was awesome! Upon arriving, our 1st time visiting this place, the hostess was not very friendly. She asked if we wanted downstairs or upstairs, we asked her the difference, and all she stated was 5 feet or 20 stairs. Once again, when we got upstairs, the waitress was new but had an awesome personality. if she didn't know something, she went to find out. For appetizers, we had the soft shell crab and calamari ( I have never had calamari served with marinara), but crab was good. Shrimp gumbo with meal was just ok, it had a weird tangy taste to it. Hubby had shrimp platter and said all was good except overcooked boiled shrimp. I had the chargrilled platter. The fish was tough and overcooked. The boiled shrimp and chargrilled shrimp were way overcooked. Scallops were good, and the fried oysters were cooked well, even though batter for oysters was very bland. Now one of my favorite things is tarter sauce, theirs tasted like I could add potatoes to make a potato salad. Definitely never going back. We saw the bad reviews, but it was recommended by a coworker. So we decided to give them benefit of the doubt. I will just be buying seafood and making it myself.

Came in for dinner at 5pm, and it wasn’t busy at all. Waitress forgot to submit our order to the kitchen. An barley told us 1 hour and 40 minutes later. We got our food at exactly 7pm sadly. I had 6 shrimps and a handful for of fry’s for $25 dollars. The food just wasn’t good for the price. Definitely not coming back here. Overall we payed $100 dollars

We both had the shrimp gumbo which was great, my wife had the fried shrimp and I had the crab cakes, both we excellent. I had fries as my side and my wife had a baked potato which came with plenty of butter, sour cream, cheese, etcetera at no extra cost.

Great place, food and super service. This is where we bring our company to give them a taste of the coast. Never had a bad experience, food is top notch, service is always efficient and friendly, atmosphere is terrific , prices are not out of line as some of the other top restaurants. Not as noisy as some of the other venues that we also frequent, good place to bring guests and you can enjoy a conversation .

Don’t go there. Overpriced and awful food. I ordered the shrimp ceviche and a small Caesar salad and both were bad for different reasons. The “ceviche” was like warm shrimp cocktail, I could only eat a couple of bites before I got too grossed out and had to stop. The Caesar salad was even worse because the cheese was moldy. Parmesan takes forever to go bad so I can’t even imagine how long it had been in storage.The friends I was with also had bad experiences with the food. Most of it tasted out of a box and the fish was old.Our server was nice but she took a while to bring simple things like water and utensils.

Everything fried was excellent, boiled shrimp were great, stuffed flounder was cooked well but none of us cared for the taste. Crab dip was not hot (even though we were warned against touching the remekin) and tasted off. Soup and gumbo were good.Service was excellent. Our server was pleasant, knowledgeable, checked on us often, and didn't forget anything.

My gumbo had a chunk of something unidentified, appeared to be bouillon, and it also managed to be flavorless. The rice pilaf was also flavorless. The flounder was cooked to perfection, but the crab stuffing was odd tasting. They just need to par down the menu, focus on what they're passionate about, and do those things well. It just seems like they're trying to do too much.

We had the shrimp platter; fried, you peel um, stuffed, broiled. Meal came out cold. Boiled shrimp was old hard to peel. Broiled shrimp was cold and tough.
