Great food. I had the salmon and it was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Great atmosphere with a lively bar.

Paige and Ava took great care of our family the other night…they went above and beyond to make it a great experience!! If you ever stop in ask for one of them and order the fish tacos. 10/10

I was denied service because the manager claimed I “wasn’t wearing a shirt,” even though I was wearing a one-piece top that covered my torso. Meanwhile, other customers without shoes were allowed to dine without issue.

It’s hard not to conclude that I was treated differently because I’m a woman whose chest was visible in an outfit that would likely not have been questioned on someone else. If your dress code is applied differently based on gender, that’s not consistency…it’s discrimination.

Selective enforcement is highly unprofessional. I hope future customers are treated more fairly than I was. We asked management where the dress code sign was and they do not have one posted. I would recommend if you are going to enforce a rule to actually post signage of these rules.

Service was absolutely terrible. They messed up my food. Even after fixing it, it tasted gross. Literally canned gumbo taste better. Some of the menu items do NOT list things that are in the food. So make sure you always ask before ordering.

The Server TJ WAS FANTASTIC FROM START TO FINISH but the food was very nasty no flavor very bland only got 3 piece of shrimp in my pasta we requested our seafood combo be fried hard we tried it 1st by breaking a piece off sent it back they literally put the same piece back in the grease and returned it to us which is cross contamination we requested a manger at 1st she didn’t come out just sent a replacement but then finally came out after we requested her again and we explained the situation she was very nice and fixed the problem her name was Lexi so we appreciate her so much but far as the food 10/10 highly DO NOT RECOMMEND the vibe was cool & Our server was excellent but I would not ever return

Do not waste your time or money. Waitress apologized for the delay because the kitchen was an hour behind. So no worries, we were enjoying visiting with our daughter. But then, the food came out COLD. My fried crawfish and fries were soggy and not fried all the way. My husband's redfish plate was cold, veggies were old and looked like they came out of the microwave. Our daughter's pasta dish was so salty she couldn't eat it.

I had the crab cakes as an appetizer, outstanding! Shrimp and grits for the entree, very good, the only thing the tails still has the shell on, I would prefer no shells in my shrimp and grits.

My sister and I visited on Saturday June 13, 2026, night for the first time. It was one of worse experiences I have had for the following reasons.
Poor Service – We sat on the patio and the server never came. Two parties were seated and had drinks before I went to the hostess to find out where our server was. The hostess promised me a server would be right out. After a few more minutes of waiting, the server, serving the table next to us, said our server was busy making drinks and he would take care of us, but please be patient. Then someone else took our drink orders. A while after our drinks arrived it took about 15 seconds to give our server our order. A food runner delivered our meals (Jambalaya, Taste of New Orleans) and they were missing the side (Cajun Slaw). A few minutes later when our server stopped at the table next to us, he asked us how everything was. Later we had to flag him down to get a to go box. Later he gave us the bill without asking if we wanted dessert or coffee. My sister wanted Key Lime Pie. She had to ask the server when he came for the payment. We took it too go. In summary the server may have spent less than two minutes with us. We felt like we were completely ignored.
Flies and Crows- Sitting on the patio there were flies all around. The table across from us first covered their drinks and food with napkins and then got to go boxes to cover the food after taking a bit. We covered our food with napkins. It was like being on a picnic. There was nothing to get rid of the flies (screens, bug zappers, fans on tables). The restaurant next store had table fans and customers did not seem to have the same problem.
Several times crows landed on tables and chairs. The crows pecked at food on plates not removed from tables where the customers had left.
Food – My sister thought the Jambalaya was spicy and had a nice taste. The Taste of New Orleans had Jambalaya which I thought was bland, Crawfish Etouffee, which was served in a cup was very peppery and had a seafood taste with only two small pieces of crawfish and a few small pieces of green peppers in the rice, and red beans and rice, which did have a New Orleans taste was a little bit better than average. We never got the Cajun slaw side. We forgot to ask about getting the Cajun slaw side with all the problems we were having.
The key lime pie had a nice tart lime flavor. However, it was ruined by having a strawberry drizzle over the top. I can not understand the strawberry drizzle. This is not a cheesecake and the tart lime flavor is what makes the pie.

Sean was absolutely fantastic! Fun, funny, attentive, and made our whole experience even better. He went above and beyond by surprising Derek with a complimentary piece of cheesecake for his birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch.

Great food is always a plus, but great service is what makes you want to come back, and Sean definitely delivered. If you’re at Dodie’s, ask for Sean—you won’t be disappointed! 🎉🍰👏
