Koung Thai Restaurant Reviews
A friend took us here for dinner. Service was excellent. We shared Pineapple Fried Rice, Basil Fried Rice, Pad Kee Mao, & the chicken Wing appetizer with the sweet garlic sauce. It was our first time to dine here. The restaurant has a new owner and she was quite friendly and helpful. We will visit again.
I love love love this place! The food is so good and Mike always treats you like family! ❤️❤️

Koung Thai Restaurant in Rockwall has been a favorite spot for over 3 years, offering delicious dishes like the Amazing Curry with a level 5 Thai spice. The restaurant continues to provide excellent service and maintain the exceptional quality of its cuisine. Despite longer waiting times on weekends, the delicious food makes it worth it. The courteous treatment of customers and consistently tasty dishes, including their desserts and coffee, make it a culinary gem in the community. Customers praise the menu variety, attentive staff, and spicy dishes, with the Level 4 spice being particularly popular. The roasted duck curry is also a local favorite.
The interior is calm and clean, with 60 seats at small tables that can be set up for larger parties. The menu is easy to browse, and the atmosphere is not fussy, with some calm instrumental music playing in the background. Customers often request "fresh chili" for that real spice experience, and the staff treats everyone kindly whether dining in or taking out. The "Ginger Infused Salad" is very popular, with a lightly sweet and subtle ginger flavor, fresh greens, and crispy noodles topping.
For curry lovers, Mussaman Curry is a great choice for a less citrus spice, and many find it very good. The restaurant also offers desserts like ice cream macarons, with options such as pink Guava, which are light, sweet, and slightly tart. Customers often enjoy the signature dishes and appreciate the friendly service from the owner, who sometimes gifts mango sticky rice. Overall, Koung Thai Restaurant remains a favorite in town, known for its delicious food, friendly staff, and inviting atmosphere.
