We had lunch at On The Border today for the first time in maybe nine months. WOW!!!!! The food was so good! I’m so happy that we gave it one more try!!! It just replaced Mi Cocina & Gloria’s for us! Excellent service as well! Keep up the good work! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My family and I were a little disappointed in the changes we saw after a long time between visits. We were informed that OTB was bought out and slight changes were made by the waitress. We truly enjoyed the change to the salsa but miss the big half tortilla chips. However, I don't think they would have paired well with the new salsa. I loved the flavor and the fact it's served warmed 😋. That change I could handle. What my family and I didn't like was the removal of the table side guacamole, the pick 4 and why would we only get one cheese, guacamole, sour cream and Pico set up with a fajitas for two and only 3 tortillas? The change to the fajitas really threw us for a loop. The waitress was great at explaining the changes to us and letting us know that the additional fajitas set up would be additional charge before putting it in to the kitchen. The manager also came by to ensure we were being taken care of. The service was no issue at all, it was the slight changes to items that we enjoyed prior that were now gone.

Food was good, and the service in the take out was super fast. The staff are very polite also.

We went after a year or so and were not impressed. The menu options are limited and aren’t as good as they used to be. Our waiter was kind and helpful, but not all staff was friendly.

Yesterday was our first time going to OTB since new ownership & the food was awful! Salsa was disgusting, queso was not good, tacos were not good! Will not be back! Their old salsa & queso were my fav in the area, and now it sucks! The service was great as usual!

Management really needs to step it up. We were seated on the patio - 10 minutes or so later no service - my husband went and asked the hostess if she could get us a server and have her bring us a Coors Light. The hostess did not know what that was! Please, she might be young but really! The food was okay but by the time we got it, we were upset so didn't really enjoy.

I’m not sure what happened to On The Border, but it’s clearly not the same place it used to be.
First off, who approved the new queso recipe? It literally tastes like Velveeta cheese sauce poured straight from the microwave. Zero flavor, zero effort. Just sad.
Then there’s the plate I ordered (see photo). I wish I could say it tasted better than it looked… but it didn’t. It was as bland and lifeless as the presentation. You’d think for the price, someone back there would care even a little.
This place used to be a solid go-to, but it’s gone way downhill. (I will give credit where credit is due, the Bordurrito is still goated)

First of all, I have eaten here every month for about half a year and have had a great experience every time. I am only in the area once a month for medical reasons, and we come here for lunch every time. Second of all, today I was recognized. I've been gluten free for almost 3 years. On The Border is really good about avoiding cross contamination and even has a full GF menu. When I come I usually bring a bag of chips because their in house chips are not guaranteed GF. Today when we were seated the server didn't bring us chips. We didn't bring any with us, but someone in the back saw me and my son and was immediately like, no chips they are GF. I had to ask for chips because I'm actually doing the gluten challenge right now to be tested for celiac. And, I was carrying a bag when I came in, but it was books lol. The fact that they saw me and immediately was like oh, no gluten for her... That was just so personal and made me feel special. I love this place. I'll be back in a couple months with my normal bag of chips and restricted diet! But for now, bring on the gluten! 😂🤣

On the Boarder (under new ownership) has changed their salsa recipe to on that comes out hot in temperature and different from the old taste that they were known for. Hopefully they will go back to their old recipe sooner than later!

The music is weird because hardly any of it is mexican music. Its not a huge problem but its a little weird. The food is absolutely horrible. We didnt know the recipe changed so we ordered without any thought, once we got our food it was so bad. Mediocore at best. Service is amazing. Wish the old recipe was still served.
