I was one of the first few people to show up after it opened today and asked for some moist brisket. The guy behind the counter said "Man I'm sorry we are out of the moist we only have lean at the moment". I told him it was fine and went to sit down and eat the lean brisket (which was great).About 5 mins later he brought me out an entire portion of moist brisket in addition to the lean he gave me originally . It's a small thing, but you just don't see that type of thing anymore these days. Great job Rockwall location!!!

They're closing time is supposed to be 9:00 pm yet when you call at 8:30 to get an order for pick up they deny you access to get food. Even though I'm just 7 minutes away. horrible customer service. Don't say you close at 9:00 when you actually close at 8:30 pm. Looks like the other other barbecue companies in the area will be getting my business from here on out. 3|18/24 update We decided to give them a second chance. Not a good choice they'd rather give you old thin meat than real fresh brisket with no smoke flavor at all. The meat was cold The tea had no ice no flavoring I'm done... Our take out was delivered through doordash.

3 stars bc they are friendly. But the bbq isn’t worth stopping. The brisket looked and tasted likes Arby’s roast beef. No bark or smoke ring. I asked for sliced flat, it’s possible they thought that meant cut off any fat??

Always great food and good people. I love the chopped beef loaded baker and traditional sauce. They also have very good fried okra, but you have to request the okra...it's made to order.We also really enjoy the ribs, spicy cabbage, and sausage.Dietary restrictions: Good gluten free options.
I remember loving soulmans but the last two times have been fairly disappointing. We did a pickup order tonight.Mashed potatoes were runny and thin, the gravy didn't have much of a taste, and the brisket was really quite fatty.

Expensive. People working there were nice. Menu does not explain what is on the meals very well. I asked for the sandwich plate. She said, chopped or sliced, I said, sliced. But she failed to mention it has to be chopped to get the sandwich plate price, I did not know that tell I got to the register, and it was $25.00 for my meal with a drink. Why give the option of sliced if it is not an option for the sandwich plate. Bread is plain. And the sides are extremely small.

If your idea of going out to dinner at a restaurant consists of peaceful conversations and peaceful atmosphere. This isn't the place!2 boys just ran around SCREAMING and playing the entire time we had dinner.Mind you..I work with children and I'm used to the normal kids behavior.But this was ridiculous! Management should have addressed the situation.So for me.. I will go to another location.
