Schulze's Bar-B-Que Reviews
The last time I ate here was in 1998 going back to Alief after two days in Boling helping mom with dad who was in hospice. The sliced brisket has not changed a bit: in fact it is even better than I remembered with an incredible smoke ring and taste to match. The sausage reminds me Masek's with amazing sides to cozy up along side of those sandwiches. The only downsize was the pie. The crust of the pecan pie was not fully cooked and what I presumed to be buttermilk was too firm...read full review
The lady running the window Teresa was so rude. I couldn’t get my order out without being interrupted and asked”anything else”. I specifically stated I wanted my sauce on the side when ordering to which she repeated it back to me. When I received my order, the sausage was covered in sauce. When I brought it to her attention she rolled her eyes and snatched the bag back. She had an attitude when giving it back to me.
This place is so awesome ..the food is great the people are so kind..oh and for the gentleman that paid for my chips ..your so awesome thank you so much..

Schulze's Bar-B-Que is known for its perfectly cooked brisket, with a texture that is both firm for slicing and tender for fork-cutting. The jalapeño sausage and ribs are also popular choices, praised for their taste and tenderness. The homemade BBQ sauce is equally delightful. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, described as clean and well set up with a drive-in. Generous portions are served, and the prices are deemed reasonable. The side dishes, including green beans, pinto beans, and baked potato salad, receive mixed reviews, with some noting the macaroni was bland. The service is friendly and comparable to Chick-fil-A, with great customer service and a small-town attitude. The BBQ sandwiches are delicious, though some suggest adding kid-friendly options like smaller portions. Overall, Schulze's Bar-B-Que offers a traditional BBQ experience with great food, making it a potential family tradition when in town.
