Witt Pit BBQ Reviews
Great BBQ, brisket was well made with flavor and tenderness.
The Brisket is great. The ribs, sausage and pull pork are good also. The Loaded Bake Potato is plenty of food to eat.
Great bbq and sides. We drove from Victoria to check it out. We will be back.

Witt Pit BBQ is a well-loved spot in Sugar Land, known for its authentic Texas barbecue that compares to popular places like Tin Roof. The smoked brisket is a highlight, offering melt-in-your-mouth tenderness, juiciness, and a perfect smoky bark. Customers also enjoy the ribs, which are fall-off-the-bone tender and well-seasoned, along with flavorful sausage that has a great snap. The turkey is moist and rich in taste, making each bite memorable. The sides are just as tasty, especially the mac and cheese, which is creamy and cheesy, and the baked beans that have a nice depth of flavor with bits of meat. The baked potato salad is fresh and balanced, not overly sweet.
The interior has a cozy, home-style vibe, resembling an old house, creating a warm, family-like atmosphere. The staff provides friendly, welcoming service, taking the time to explain the menu and make recommendations. Portion sizes are generous, and prices are fair for the quality of food. A notable feature is the military discount, which is offered even though the restaurant isn’t near a military base. Customers appreciate the consistent quality, mentioning that they’ve dined here multiple times over the years and have never been disappointed.
The owner’s chef's skills shine through in every dish, making Witt Pit BBQ a true hidden gem in the area. Whether dining in or grabbing takeout, it’s a place where customers keep coming back for real Texas barbecue done right. The menu includes favorites like brisket, ribs, sausage, turkey, and sides like baked potato salad. Desserts like banana pudding are highly recommended, with many saying it’s the best they’ve ever had. Overall, Witt Pit BBQ is a top choice for great barbecue in Sugar Land.
