Always a great experience

The service was GREAT, but I’m disappointed in the new menu offerings. Except for the meals offered from 4-6, the entrees always have too much food for me…why can’t there be two offerings of most entrees one smaller/light portion and a larger portion for those with bigger appetites…that are offered all the time and not just during set hours? Lastly, I love the $5 take home meals!!

I sat next to the window during our visit today and was completely grossed out by the filthy blind(s). There was crusty, old caked on food all over them. I looked at the other two near me, since they were all lowered, and it was the same thing. Nobody wants to see that, especially while eating. I get that they’ll get dirty in a restaurant, but clean them please! Also, please bring back bringing the biscuits before the meal.

Taste is grate, but food size needs to grater. Gift shop is over stocked and difficult to walk around

Parking: Parking is open sunny and hot in the summertime. You may want to bring car cover if you care about your car.

Izzy was a great server! Top notch service and an awesome attitude. She was very attentive and gave us a great experience overall. However, we did purchase a take home dessert which made paying for and receiving it very confusing and difficult. We were given the option to pay online which we did, but stood for a while waiting on the dessert to come out. We witnessed Judy in the front be very passive aggressive with a younger employee the whole time. She ordered him around and demanded he answer the phone before he had a chance to clock in. Says a lot about the way they treat their staff. This was very uncomfortable and upsetting to watch which made the experience distasteful.

Its cracker barrel you don't really make it a destination for outstanding food. The food was eh but the server was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed browsing the shop after dinner.

I have loved Cracker Barrel for quite some time, but my last experience was not a good one. I ordered chicken fried steak. The gravy tasted like it was packaged, the meat was bland, and cold. In fact, the whole meal was cool, not warm. We only got our bread at the end and only because I asked for it. My husband got a regular steak,
and it didn't have much flavor and was cool as well. Service was not good. Also, Cracker Barrel needs to work on the process they have in place to seat people. You will get called to the desk to be seated, along with other people, and you stand there waiting because they aren't ready to take you to your table yet. Meanwhile, there are people coming from the dining area, and you're standing in their way because you're waiting for your table. Everything bottlenecks right there.
There has to be a better way.
We are done with it. I used to love Cracker Barrel, and I can't say that anymore. These issues for seating have always been an issue I overlooked because I loved everything else so much, but when you throw in poor customer service and cold, bland food... that's when you know the love affair is over. 💔

As always, the food and service at the Round Rock Cracker Barrel were excellent. Our Waitress was friendly and very efficient and helped make our dining experience pleasant.

Parking: The Cracker Barrel parking lot in Round Rock is usually large enough to find a parking space

Every time I come they get my order wrong and then blame it on the system. This has happened over 7plus times because I like the grits. There is always something wrong with the food, not hot enough, something’s missing and when I select curb side I always have to wait an additional 10-20 minutes of the estimated time. When you bring this to their attention they show no concern or empathy. The customer service here is very robotic. Yesterday I went in to ask for condiments, received a bag of condiments still missing two items and when the young lady gave them to me she was rude and ready to get away from me quick, couldn’t care less about my recommendations or concerns for future reference. Sadly this is the only location except for Buda and San Antonio, will not be going back.

Vegetarian options: They have a few vegetarian side but stay clear of the dumplings (made with chicken), beans, green beans, greens are all made with meat. These sides can taste equally delicious with vegetable broth and a few seasonings. So not convenient for vegetarians. Also the mashed potatoes are hard not creamy and soft.
