Excellent 1/2 chicken with excellent onion, usual sides. I missed living in the neighborhood near the #2 North Lamar location. I stopped by at a slow time of day, polite staff and great food. Took to go, but the place was clean and ready for business later on in the day. Grabbed a couple neighborhood newspapers as I left.
My Rico bowl with steak (I know, pollo is in the name and yet I wanted steak!) was delicious!! I couldn't help but notice the place smelled so good from just outside the restaurant. I was going to take this home and eat it there, but with how great it smelled and looked I pulled into a spot to eat it right away! Really great flavor and great portions of everything. My family loves this place for quick Mexican food. I recommend the Barbacoa Tacos, whole chicken, nachos, and quesodillas. Yes they primary speak Spanish, as some of the other reviewers have mentioned, but we speak English and there has never been any language barriers in telling the employees our orders and them understanding.
