First time I've been in since the pandemic. The food tasted OK, but they seemed a bit short staffed. Maybe that was because I went in about 430PM, so between the lunch and dinner rushes. I was a little put off that they only had plastic teaspoons, which made it difficult to eat my large bowl of soup! Again, maybe they are short staffed and hadn't washed the dishes from lunch. The crab rangoons were very good - crispy on the wings and not mushy on the roll.

Kenney made our experience so wonderful. The food is great, but he really made the meal feel gourmet. You can tell he cares so much about the people who come in. He has exceptional customer service and we loved every single thing about him. He went the extra mile to make me feel welcome when I wasn't able to get the meal I came for. God bless you Kenney.

Fresh, fast and flavorful. If you are at one of the many business hotels in North Austin do yourself a favor and walk on over. Healthy options whipped up in a few minutes. Really enjoyed the spicy peanut sauce. A kick without being overpowering. It was listed as a one fire level. I appreciated the brown rice option.

This place is cashless, walked away as soon as I saw that.

I liked that I could just ask if they had a certain item, they said yes, easy ordering, got back to my conversation. Not crowded, clean.

We have eaten at another Fire Bowl Cafe with a good experience and thought we might have a similar experience here.Even the reviews made it seem that would be the case, but it was not.The service was fine, but there is a definite difference at places going "cashless" when it comes to overall service. As for the food, it was not "bad," but it wasn't at the level of our previous experience to the point of it being almost sub-par. Given the prices currently being charged, that poor level of meal quality it was a waste of money for us.Despite the location being clean and well maintained along with the decent service, it is highly unlikely we will patronize this location again.

While I was making sure that my order was gluten free, the individual taking my order felt it appropriate to tell me that they eat whatever they want because that's what makes them happy.

Placed an order online for pickup on a Saturday night. A few customizations to each entree and everything was excellent. Zero complaints. Above and beyond my expectations. We will definitely add Fire Bowl into our Saturday night rotation.

You order from the counter, so if you can, review the menu online before going in to place your order. I had the stir-fry your way with fried tofu, spring veggie mix, Kung pao sauce, and brown rice. It was a huge serving with very fresh tasty vegetables and a generous portion of tofu and brown rice. I had plenty to take home for another meal. My hubby got the sweet & sour chicken and fried rice. There again, a generous serving with enough for another meal. He said the chicken was definitely from a frozen bag (his opinion), but the veggies were fresh. He said the pineapple chunks didn't really have a pineapple flavor but were good. We did have appetizers, too. I had the veggie spring rolls (2) , one was cooked well, and the second one needed a little more cook time. Hubby had the pork egg roll (1) and said it was tasty. The rolls came out with the meal with a bowl of sweet and sour sauce. The total paid was $33. And they do not take cash. Will eat here again when in the mood for some quick Asian food.

The food was just ok, but decent for a quick meal

The food here is a hit or miss. I always go for “stir fry my way” with soft tofu. Sometimes the soft tofu is off with the smell and taste. Sometime, my veggie are not fully cooked. It’s somewhat raw. I don’t enjoy raw broccoli. Learned the lesson, next time has to specify to have it cook/steam longer.

Many have been warning about the new wave of frankenfood in the post Covid(Recovery) era. I used to love this place. It’s been a couple of years since I’ve been here and like so many places in the post Covid new world quality has really really suffered. I love Chinese food and there is a level of not so good that is acceptable but this experience was really really bad. I got two dishes of chicken (stir fry dish and general tso) and the chicken was unacceptably disgusting. The pork egg roll I received was the worst I had ever eaten. Ended up throwing 75% of the food out is was so gross. Vegetables were okay but as for the meat, it’s like something I’ve had in a third world country. ? You’ve been warned.
