Good atmosphere. It was overpriced(as predicted), but food wasn't that good.

The food was okay, the atmosphere was disappointing and the service was just okay. The experience was overall kind of awkward and the food was slightly worse than mediocre.

I visited this establishment with close friends, and I will not be returning due to how we were treated regarding a drink order. One of my friends initially asked for a drink and inquired whether the juice in it could be substituted. Since it wasn’t clear if the substitution was possible, he decided to order his usual drink instead.

A few minutes later, the waitress returned and informed us they could make the first drink he had asked about if he was still interested. They prepared the original drink, and when she delivered it, she mentioned that if it wasn’t to his liking, he could send it back and order his usual. Unfortunately, he didn’t enjoy the first drink and asked for his go-to mezcal old-fashioned.

Shortly after, another staff member, possibly a manager or the owner, approached our table and said, “Do you know what you ordered? We cannot keep sending drinks back. This happened the other night with other customers.” We were shocked and confused by this response, especially since the waitress had explicitly offered to replace the drink if needed. Additionally, it made no sense to group us with customers from a previous night.

I tried to explain what had happened to this staff member and even asked if she spoke Spanish to ensure there was no language barrier. However, she showed no regard for what I was saying or for the situation as a whole. Her behavior was unprofessional and disrespectful. We never asked for a free drink, and we certainly shouldn’t have been compared to other customers.

Simply put, this experience was unacceptable, and I won’t be coming back.

Tonight, we visited Fuego Latino Gastropub for the first time after wrapping up a photo shoot in the square. We were greeted warmly, seated promptly, and started with drinks and appetizers. My husband initially asked about a cocktail made with mezcal, inquiring if the grape juice ingredient could be substituted. The waitress seemed unsure but agreed to check. My husband then requested his usual mezcal old-fashioned as an alternative. Shortly after, the waitress returned and informed us that they could make the original cocktail with pineapple juice instead and assured him that if he didn’t like it, he could order something else. When the drink arrived, my husband didn’t enjoy it and politely requested his initial choice of a mezcal old-fashioned. What happened next was incredibly disappointing. A woman, whom I assume to be either the manager or owner, approached us and, rather than addressing the situation professionally, reprimanded us for “ordering drinks and returning them to the bar.” We were shocked by her tone and demeanor. She even brought up a completely unrelated incident with another customer, insinuating a comparison that felt unnecessary and potentially inappropriate. We calmly explained that it was her staff who suggested trying the alternative cocktail with the assurance that it could be replaced if unsatisfactory. The lack of accountability and professionalism in her response was truly disheartening. Unfortunately, this experience left such a negative impression that I will not be returning to Fuego Latino Gastropub. Customer service is as important as the food and drinks, and this establishment fell far short.

Our absolute favorite spot in Georgetown. Family owned by one of the best!

Fuego Latin might be easy to overlook with its modest exterior, but don’t be fooled—the food here is phenomenal! My favorite dishes include the Ceviche Sampler and the Pork Chop Milanese, which are both bursting with flavor and freshness. The Beef Arepas are also a must-try, with their tender, savory filling. For drinks, the ranch water is a personal favorite, refreshing and perfectly balanced.

We recently held a wedding celebration here for 23 people in their upstairs space, and the experience was seamless. Aracely provided outstanding service, being both friendly and incredibly professional. They even went out of their way to accommodate our five picky eaters by making cheese quesadillas on request—an appreciated touch that made everyone feel at home.

Fuego Latino offers a refreshing change from typical Tex-Mex options, with a variety of unique Latin flavors that really shine. If you’re in Georgetown, make sure to stop by.

We visited here for Sunday lunch with our friends from Bentonville, AR. It was wonderful. The presentation, the food, and the service all made our day. Think Baja, SoCal, Cost Rica...not your typical TexMex. It was delicious!

The best food I've had in Georgetown. We've had both lunch and dinner dates here and are absolutely blown away every time. The lamb barbacoa on tostones for lunch was to die for, and the duck enchiladas for dinner were delicious. You can tell the owners put great care in crafting unique flavors and sharing authentic recipes. Can't wait to return!

My experience at this family-run business was exceptional. The service was attentive, and the food was delicious, with the fresh fruit standing out. It’s clear they take pride in both their service and ingredients. Highly recommend!

My family and I chose this place as a last resort, there was an incredibly long wait at a nearby place and we looked for something close by. None of us had ever been here before so we weren't sure how it would be but I have to say it was well above amazing. The food was so delicious and very well served, the service was a 10/10 the chef even came out to greet us and later surprised us with a free deserts. Very authentic Mexican food and I would highly recommend this place and we will be coming back!
