The Monday special of chicken cheese steak was great. All the items on the sandwich were fresh and the temperature was just right for our lunch repaste. The iced tea was also quite good and the bag of chips complemented the sandwich very well. Looking forward to our next trip there for one of the other weekday specials!!!

Had the Philly cheesesteak and it hit the spot. The spicy red peppers added just enough heat to keep it interesting, with a sweet tang that pulled everything together. Bread was soft but held up, meat was tender and cooked just right, and the cheese tied it all together.
Hoody’s nails the details. Proper bread, real ribeye, grilled onions and peppers. It may not be from Philly, but it has the same “shut up and eat” energy you’d get there.
If you hit lunch hours, expect a line. It moves fast and it’s worth it.
This was my first visit and it will not be the last. Hoody’s isn’t trying to reinvent the cheesesteak. It’s just making one worth driving for.

Hoody's is essentially an Austin staple at this point and it is well deserving of the reputation it has. Great service, great prices, and a simple but very high-quality menu.
I've been a few times but I've been most impressed by their meatball sub. Delicious flavor in the meat and the bread has a fantastic chewy texture. Really everything on the menu is great, and portions are generous for the price. Each day they have a deal on a particular sub, and so the final price is of your whole meal is even more affordable than it already is! They also have Dirty brand potato chips, which are hard to find and I HIGHLY recommend trying them if you haven't yet.
You really can't go wrong with Hoody's when you're in the mood for a sub sandwich. I really want to highlight that your money goes FAR when you come here. Stop by when you're in the neighborhood!

Personal favorite Philly cheese steaks, love the home feel to this local gem. Been here for years and it’s a fan favorite for anyone in round rock who’s had it

Hoody's is a modest sandwich shop with old school customer service. They serve quality food at a reasonable price which is rare these days. I ordered the small meatball sub and had to grab a bag of jalapeno kettle chips. As mentioned in other reviews the bread is delicious. I enjoyed the flavor of the sauce as well as the texture of the meatballs. This is a solid spot for a meatball sub. If in the area again I wouldn't hesitate to return. Price listed on menu is for cash transactions. You can pay with a card for a very small upcharge.

First the positive, ordered a couple of turkey subs and it was great. I especially liked the bread. Now the negative, the guy behind the counter was very rude. He called my name, when I walked up to counter to grab my subs he yells, "don't touch those! I will hand you the subs." After a few more moments of lecture he finally handed me my sub. If you don't want someone to touch a food product don't place it on a customer accessable counter and then call my name. Won't be visiting again.

Old school sandwich spot with excellent service. We ordered an Italian and a Philly cheese steak, both were good. I loved how they add spicy peppers (if you want) to any sandwich. How they prep the Italian sandwich is pretty unique, where the cold cuts are almost on the outside, but that being said the meat to bread ratio isn’t spectacular, which is why I’m only giving 4 stars. The Philly was really good, but I’ve definitely had better.

Being originally from NY, I sometimes just crave a place that reminds me of where I grew up, and this place did the trick. That's about the best compliment I could give a sub shop. I was only there briefly, but they seemed pretty friendly too, so that's a big improvement over the places back east, lol.

I used to be a regular customer, however, I recently moved to upstate NY. I just want to say, that no sandwich I've had up here has topped hoody's subs
