We should have left as soon as we walked in. It smelled like a stale, dank house. It took a good 5 minutes to be acknowledged by the hostess. We got there at opening time of 11am, so I expected a sparkling clean restaurant. All of the booth seats had crumbs on them. The floor was sticky. The table had a sticky feel. The 1/2 cup of Won Ton soup broth tasted off. There were two dumplings in the soup instead of wonton, the green onion looked old with black spots, it was inedible. Not worth 2.99. The sesame chicken and orange chicken looked identical and had no flavor.. The fried rice was bland, there was no salt anywhere. Judging by the canned responses to the other reviews, I will not wait for this restaurant to improve. Don't waste your money. I will certainly never return. One word summary of this experience is Gross.

Horrible service, totally disorganized. Order was over an hour late past our pick up time and GF items were wrong. Avoid this place like the plague.

To go Curbside order was over an hour late being prepared. Front of the house was grossly understaffed, and staff poorly trained. Our order was sitting at the counter half ready for over 45 minutes & only 2 dishes missing. I finally had to ask about the last two as the order preparer was utterly clueless. Then…half of our order was gluten free & not labeled so we didn’t know which of the same meal types had gluten & which didn’t. Out of fear I’d get sick, I had to just eat a sandwich at home. If they can’t keep up with online order demand, they should stop taking orders or set reasonable wait expectations. Seemed like no manager was even on duty. Disappointed doesn’t begin to describe. Will not be back. Ever.

Absolute worst restaurant I've ever been to. One star is being kind. - Put in my order online and was told it would take an HOUR. - Showed up an hour and 10 minutes later and it had not even been started!! - waited another 25 minutes for their totally inept kitchen staff to prepare the order! - There we're a plethora of DoorDash and GrubHub drivers who had been waiting even longer than that. - Only one girl was responsible for taking orders, delivering food to tables, packaging to-go orders, and getting to-go orders to the many waiting customers. And this girl was absolutely clueless. I swear I saw a question mark floating above her head. And what's worse was that there was no urgency to help customers at all. - Under staffed, under trained. The manager of this hole should be fired and never allowed to work in food service again. - And then there was the food. Hard to describe how bad it was. We didn't even finish our meals, it was so awful. I made a sandwich. I would have given my leftovers to the dog, but I love my dog. - Really bad experience all around. But, color me stupid cause it's the second time I gave this place a shot, and the first was almost as horrible. I learned my lesson this time. Will never be back.

If I could give zero stars I would. Just left the Pei Wei in the outlet mall area after having tried to eat lunch at 2pm on a Tuesday. There was one customer eating, one visible employee who chose to gather trash instead of acknowledge us. 3 other people came in to eat, stood behind us for a few minutes then asked us if we had been helped, we hadn't, so they left. The visible employee, dressed in Christmas pj's came our direction so we were hopeful, then continued collecting trash. We left. How is that place still in business? Don't plan on going back again.

Ok so I came in today for takeout since I haven’t had Pei Wei in a while. I ordered the drunken noodles as well as, the Burboun “Chicken” I say chicken because it’s pork. Anyways, the drunken noodles I ordered as they are made just minus the bell peppers because I don’t like filler veggies overtaking the dish. Well I got my order and it lacked a lot of flavor, sauce, spice and everything else. I called and asked if I could come get a remake of the order and was told of course! I came in asked for more spice, sauce and basil since that is what is supposed to be in it and I basically received the same thing with a tad more chili. As for the burboun chicken I can’t say much other than it’s PORK ! You guys are selling pork to people as chicken. Every piece had a fat cap on it and the taste and texture is not chicken i posted a photo below. I didn’t mind the pork but for someone who can’t eat pork that is a big issue for you guys if it comes up. I don’t know but most Asian flare type restaurants, serve the meat as the main dish and this is not a main dish very dry as far as the bourbon sauce that is advertised. Now when it comes to the cook all I noticed was how fast he made everything. I specifically remember him stating how another cook takes 15 min to make three orders and how fast he is and how that is how it should me. Well unfortunately, fast does not mean qualitypei Wei has gone way down from the days it was a supposed to be modeled after P.F. Chang’s as the Dan Dan noodles were the signature dish. Please do something about the pork that actually bothered me more than anything. ( pictures included a few pieces of the burboun chicken and an actuall piece of chicken that came with the drunken noodles. The noodle dishes are as shown. No basil or scallions visible)

Shoukd have read the reviews before. Only wanted Wonton Soup and lettuce wraps. Well the 2 "BOWLS" of soup I ordered to-go were each half full. On top of that it tasted like canned soup. Then the lettuce they gave for the lettuce wraps was aweful.. The employees obviously did not have enough food or did not care. I have now ordered PHO from somewhere else to deliver.

The only one left in the Austin area. In the HEB shopping center restaurant area. 1431 and uh 35 by Ikea. I ordered lettuce wraps and was given wilted brown spotted lettuce. The wraps were ok. Not many dried noodles kind of sad. The wonton soup was flavorless. My friends liked their food teriyaki chicken. The restaurant was clean.

I'm so sad to write an unfavorable review, but I must. I ordered in person in the restaurant for a to go order to take home 9 minutes away. $55 in food was nearly inedible. The spring rolls and rangoons were way overcooked and grease soaked. What's with the incredible amount of breading fried up to look like chicken? The inside was awful. It was 6:45pm but the drink station was taken down, no iced down drinks, no screens top use to order. I'm very sad. I used to really adore Pei Wei. Hate to see it struggling.

Our takeout experience was disappointing. The entrees had poor presentation, flavor, and substance. We ordered firecracker and orange chicken which was 70% breading and the pieces of chicken that were found were much smaller than bite size. We also ordered two Pad Thai entrees that had 80% noodles which five pieces of chicken on top and lacked the tofu, scrambled egg, bean sprouts, and green onion garnish that Pei Wei used to serve. The whole experience was disappointing especially since Pei Wei used to serve awesome dishes.

This place is not good anymore, I took my mother for lunch and got me some beef and broccoli with a salad, and some Mongolian beef with fried rice for my mother. First impression was ok, then I made the mistake to put a sriracha -chili that comes in some little bags and what a nasty Flavor, didn't know the sriracha had a really bad taste ...( smell like BO like smelling an armpit) anyway ended sending the food back and got me a Mongolian beef, and same odor and taste. Ending just having a salad. 2 hours later had a really bad diarrhea and nausea. Save yourself time, money and a visit to an urgent care. This place should be closed by the health department.

my husband and I have enjoyed pei wei for many years now. It was our first time getting take out from this location as we just moved to the area and was surprised by the lack of quality. It tasted like we were eating at panda express- the chicken seemed processed and lacked flavor. Not sure what's going on here

The service was ok but disorganized it took a long time to find the allergy menu. The staff knew very little about allergy related issues with the food. The staff was still nice and the service was ok.The food was horrible. It tasted like it had come from the freezer section. Not at all what Pei Wei had been in the past.Despite the allergy menu and following what to order. I still ended up having an allergic reaction. Luckily it wasn't bad since the food was inedible. We spent over $50 and couldn't eat most of what we ordered. The lettuce for my wrap was white and bitter. The soup was flavorless. The orange chicken my daughter had was like candy too sweet to eat. My husband had a dish that was supposed to be spicy and instead tasted like the inside of the fridge. We used to love Pei Wei, we won't be back.Dietary restrictions: They do have an allergy menu to assist in ordering however the way it is organized provides no help in selecting a meal. Especially when shell fish and fish are in separate lists on different pages. Would avoid it if you have any kind of allergy.

Ghost kitchen using former PeiWei facility - three doors but only southwest is available for order pickup. Only small paper sign to clue pickup door. Online order billed thru Grubhub. Good ok but not to PeiWei usual standard,
