the coleslaw was awesome. I'm not a coleslaw fan, but this was the best. The Thurman's choice was excellent. will be visiting again

This place is terrible. BBQ sauce is a vinegar thousand island Italian dressing concoction. Meat little flavor. Worse the facilities are in complete disrepair and not maintained. This place needs a new manager.

The meat is great, the sides are an absolute miss!! I'm unsure why the sides are void of flavor but the slaw isn't creamy at all, the potato salad is giving cold breakfast hash, and the beans are just blah... so much potential, but the mark is just missed!! If they could nail that down it would be unstoppable

Call in after reading the reviews. I wasn’t disappointed with the quality of the food, the great atmosphere and superb service for Clive and the team. Definitely a must stop in if your in the Round Rock area.

We ordered our food to go as we're leaving Round Rock to return home from Kalahari Resort. But, the atmosphere was comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly and efficient. Our orders were ready promptly. The barbeque is superb! It was my first visit to a Salt Lick and I will eat at another one when I find one nearby. Who has time to take pictures when devouring the food?! Lol. I forgot.

I have been multiple times now. It’s an excellent experience. Texas barbecue is really one of the wonders of the world.

I was a little surprised at how dry the brisket was but everything together was so satisfying. I literally almost ate myself sick. The sauce is a staple and a highlight. The spicy sauce was not spicy to me but it was delicious all the same.

The only thing to me that had really good flavoring was the sausages. I had Thurman's plate. The brisket was juicy but lacked flavor. The pork ribs were soft but still lacked some flavoring. The sides the potato salad is to me not good. That's not even potato salad. The coleslaw is too sour to me. That's uneven coleslaw the beans were blah. I did order mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was. I guess that's a white cheese so that was that was okay. I don't think I'll be going back. I 100% did not like the sign that they have posted. Limiting you that you are to be there for just an hour and a half to have your dinner and their excuses because they have they want to serve other people or something and I'm like yeah I know I'm not down with you giving me a time limit and that I'm spending my money to your food and you want to give me a time limit on how much time I have to eat my dinner. So with the sides not being fantastic and the barbecue flavoring that only one meat really had flavoring. So yeah I'm not down with that at all then trying to tell the customer....you have a time limit to eat here. So I'm out.

Great food with their signature style of flavor. I enjoy occasional lunches here with friends or coworkers, and there are many weekends I make a to-go order (I live within a couple miles). I would advise if you want to make a to-go order, just make it at their facilities as they can have it ready in about five minutes.

All their food is excellent, but my favorite is their beef ribs.

Food was excellent, service was also excellent....I was attending a closed function. Food was served family style...all good except potatoes, they were served cold but that maybe a Texas thing, in North Carolina, we serve them warm/hot .
