The Salt Lick was excellent. ? The brisket, ribs, beef, bison, and pork were cooked to perfection! Warm atmosphere, excellent bar, and friendly staff made for a wonderful Texas Barbacue experience!

This BBQ joint is absolutely amazing! The sausage and brisket are delicious but the ribs are out of this world! I really enjoyed the mustard-based sauce. The spicy version is not too spicy. I recommend trying both. The colesaw is some of the best I have had. Even the bean and potato salad was good. We had 14 people in our party and they had no problem seating us. The service was very friendly. This was the place recommended to us when we came to visit by locals and I am so glad we came!

Really disappointed this visit. 3 very small pieces of brisket and the worst pulled pork I've ever had. Not planning on going back anytime soon.

Went to the Pflugerville location. The waiter was awesome, everything else lacked, including the hostess. I get it, they are busy and deal with alot of people, but dont make my wife and I feel like we are bothering you.Waiter was awesome, I will stress this.Bathrooms were, well I would rather pull into a random gas staion in louisiana on I-10.I have had better BBQ at a buddies house in regular football season when I didnt want to go cause dude should not man a pit.....

My family enjoyed the outing to The Salt Lick in Round Rock. BBQ meal with a waiter, so it was a bit different than other cafeteria style BBQs. Menu is easy to read, prices are fair considering the Delicious food. Kids have their own menu to choose from. Atmosphere is great, staff is friendly, and there is even a small playground for the kiddos. Food offered ranges from Brisket, sausage, ribs, pulled pork, and chicken for the adults, to chicken tenders and corn dogs for kids. Plenty of sides too. We ordered meat by the half pound, and a sandwich.

Celiac friendly! Plenty of gluten free options called out right in the menu. Just let them know and they will grab a new brisket for you just to reduce cross contamination. Also, it's absolutely delicious and some of the best BBQ in the state of Texas.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free by default for most of the menu, just ask and they will accommodate!

I was on vacation with family and came here to try some BBQ. I did not leave disappointed at all.I liked the atmosphere of the place; fit the feel of the barbecue restaurant, both inside and outside. The service was good too. Despite a slightly long wait, our waitress made sure we were alright and let us know about when our food would be ready. As for the food itself, it was great. I had the Brisket and Bison Ribs and I was pleasantly surprised. The brisket was tender and flavorful and the barbecue sauce at the table with the brisket really complemented the meat. As for the bison ribs; for my first time ever having bison meat at all, I was very pleased with it. The ribs were juicy, tender, and like the briscuit; flavorful.Lastly, I finished off with a piece of Pecan Pie a la mode; another item I have never tried before up to this point. Delicious, nutty, creamy, and not overly sweet. My only disappointment was that there wasn't more. XDOverall, for my first time here, I was greatly impressed and should I return to Texas again, I will return again for some more delicious fare.

I thought the food quality is lower than their main location in Driftwood, but fantastic service and nice atmosphere. The Driftwood location is the better and more worthwhile experience overall.

Brisket was dry and tough. Extremely disappointing given the amount of money I spent.
