This is my favorite restaurant in Austin. So much flavor, good drinks, nice vibe & the staff is always amazing. I guarantee you, you won't find better fish in the area.

The menu looks great, however each time we've gone it there as been an issuer; private party shut the restaurant and now reconstruct. It seems this location has a jinx. I hope it the curse is broken

Delicious food, fun atmosphere, friendly staff. We enjoy the Cajun nachos, Shrimp & Grits, and Swamp Pasta. The homemade king cakes are wonderful too, as is the bread pudding. Authentic, delicious Cajun food!

I honestly don't know what's up with some of the low ratings! Food is amazing! This is our second visit and when I tell you this food will make you wanna slap ya momma! service was great and the cook even came to our table. OMG You have to try this food. I'm not even exaggerating! Lol.

Such an amazing place! Accommodating and gracious. Super tasty food-best shrimp and grits I've had. Split the bowl of shrimp and grits into two beautifully plated bowls. Grits were flavorful and creamy, a hint of spice. Shrimp were buttery and not over done. Chef Byrd made grits just for us after he'd closed the kitchen. Janae was sweet and helpful--over the top. Wish we lived closer to visit more.

Owner and chef very nice and as well as other staff. Food was delicious and we definitely plan to go back. The seafood gumbo was the bomb you hear me. We had them add some sausage to ours. Nice, clean atmosphere. The Seafood Cajun Nachos were excellent. The catfish basket and blackened Cajun salmon on a bed dirty rice were Hmmm Hmmm good!

Guys I haven't even gotten my food yet lol. The seafood gumbo is EVERYTHING!!! I'll update this post when I get my food.Update: The food was WONDERFUL!!! I'm so glad we went! Yvonne's tea and table service were great too. Will definitely be coming back.

Just go...you won't regret it! Great folks running this place! Great food. Support them so they stick around cause we don't have a reasonable substitute anywhere in the area and NOLA is to far to drive for dinner!

Contracted food poisoning from here. First my appetizer came out cold and I asked for the waiter to bring me out another one but cooked. The next one came out warm at the top and cold at the bottom. I had already token a few bites before noticing. Being that I know the safe keeping of food and what safe temperature it's supposed to be at, I know exactly what happened and I haven't been the same since. Your cook was off mingling instead of focusing on meal service. This was my second time coming and we always spend over $100 at this place to show support. You guys have to do better.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! The ONLY reason I'm giving this place ONE STAR is because it's the lowest star I can give. We walked in on a Saturday evening (July 10) at 8:05pm. The restaurant was fairly empty. We were told to take a seat anywhere. Once we sat down, ten minutes had passed and no one had came to great our table. I walked over to the bar and asked the bartender if some one could come and take our order and if I could speak with the manager. The bartender was polite and came and took our order and a "manager" eventually came to the table. He apologized for the delay and shared that we would have a better experience. Well we did not. We waited for over an hour to receive our food only for for the food to be cold and one of the meals did not arrive at the table until 9:30. I complained to "management" and expressed that our food was cold and for the amount of time that it took for the food to arrive there was no excuse for the food being cold. The bartender then came to table with a full bill. I expressed that we were not paying for cold food or for food that had just arrived at the table. We never had a waitress come to our table to check on us, we just sat there. This is unacceptable!!! I don't see how this place stays open! DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!
