Sushi Koen

We tried Sushi Koen 1st on New Year Day 2026 and we have became regular customers since then. I love trying out different sushi rolls and my #1 choice is the Ultimate Salmon. My husband also like their bento box. He highly recommend the bento box for anyone who looking for a hearthy and healthy meal.

Food was excellent. Service a bit too efficient. They got the job done but not too friendly. My partners rolls came a full five minutes before my chefs choice sushi/sashimi lunch.

Even though I’ve enjoyed the food here in the past, today’s experience was an absolute disaster in terms of customer service. It was so bad we ended up walking out. The waitress who greeted us was rude from the moment we arrived. We came in with a stroller, and instead of helping us find a suitable spot, she offered a table where there was no possible space for it. When we explained that we needed room for the stroller, she told us we could sit—but only if we kept the stroller away from the table. How does that even make sense for parents with an infant? When we politely asked if there was another option, she became visibly irritated and dismissive. The complete lack of courtesy and willingness to accommodate families was shocking. No matter how good the food is, that kind of treatment makes it impossible to want to come back.

My husband and I took our three children ages 14, 3 and 1, to sushi koen. The food was amazing, the staff were so kind and we loved the atmosphere. We can’t wait to go back!

I asked the boss for sea urchin rice bowl with salmon roe. It's expensive, so the portion isn't large, but he gave me plenty of sea urchin roe. I'm so happy.

This place is truly our favorite spot in town. Such a hidden gem with friendly and attentive service and mouth watering food. We are currently here for the second time this week and I don’t regret it for a second. So so good in every way.

Wow, Koen Sushi is amazing. The food and service were both top-notch. We started with the spicy garlic edamame, and it was really good. We shared a few sushi rolls—definitely try the Carrot Top, Ex Wife, and Austin Roll, they were all fantastic. We also got some chicken fried rice, and it was so flavorful. Honestly, we’re hooked on everything we tried.

I heard about this place from one of my students, and I’m really glad I took their suggestion. I even got to meet the owner, and he’s such a great person. If you’re nearby, you have to check out Koen Sushi. Definitely a hidden gem!

First time here and it was AMAZING! The staff, food and atmosphere were amazing. First time sitting at the sushi bar and I was entranced! The Carrot Top Roll stole my heart. I will be going back for a second time to try everything else. Highly recommend this place!
