Taco Palenque Round Rock

Visited for the first time didn't really like the taste.
And it was pricey for what i got

It's a great food and very affordable I recommend it

Food was spot on. My 19 yo daughter even texted me remarking how good the food was. But..... And this is a big butt and I do not lie, they (and I, but that's not who this is about 😬) forgot all (3) the drinks that were all up charges, also didn't include any sour cream, guacamole or extra meat, which were also up charges.

The prices are getting ridiculous higher and the amount of meat is almost nothing. I just pay 15.00 plus tip like 18 plus dollars for 2 tacos of beans with cheese and little bit of fajita ( according to the mgr. 1oz. Per taco.) and the quality is not what it used to be. I just check prices on the longhorn stake house and there is a plate of 18.00 of 6 ounces of ribeye steak, one side and a salad. No more taco Palenque for me

I love their food, but I think they need to establish when certain drinks are not available because not everybody likes all drinks and my experience was that I had to go get a refund cause I didn't like any other drinks only one, but they were out and the cashier just made a face When I asked for a refund . Which I feel that that shouldn't happen because it's my money that I'm spending

The food is good. Their condiment bar needs attention.

OCT 2025 UPDATE:
I spent a small fortune at this place, we came here at ope and all the time and I even paid for 2 separate catered events at my kid's school. I wanted to support Laredo business expansion into Austin and introduce TPs to the locals.

But in October '25 my wife picked up lunch and Taco Palenque forgot half of it. I called to solve it over the phone, they hung up on me (which is a great way to meet me in person) I drove all the way back and they were very unprofessional about the whole thing. I could go on about how a good manager takes someone to the side away from live music to hear them to improve their service, they don't refuse to meet twice then agree to meet but only in a loud busy place, offering zero apologies - but then I'm giving business advice and nobody is paying me to teach them.

The food is good, but the people, they're very tricky here. Trust nothing about your order you haven't verified.

As I'm not going to go through hundreds of dollars of food to verify it for future catering needs only to be potentially embarrassed and short changed my incorrect orders, we'll probably look to other nearby competitors like Taco Shack or Tacos Durango.

Or heck, Veracruz Tacos is immediately across the street and they absolutely SPANK Taco Palenque for tacos. The downsides are that Veracruz has bad hours and they're slow. But hey, they never made me feel like order accuracy was my responsibility.

I like this place better than taco bell. I keep asking for fresh avocado on my steak burrito and they either sometimes give me avocado, or avocado sauce. I want fresh avocado slices. Delicious burrito. Even more delicious if it had the avocado I ask and pay extra for... 🫤

This is definitely the better of the 2 in Round Rock, however I would eat at either one 3 times a week.

First time trying this place and it was so good!
I highly recommend trying the fajita's! So delicious and the staff was super friendly! 5 Stars all the way! 🌟🌟🌟🌟 🌟

Mariachi Ruben sings very well and creates a great musical atmosphere at the restaurant every Sunday from 1 to 3 pm.
