I absolutely love velvet taco, but unfortunately this location does not meet that same standards as the domain location. I ordered the brisket nachos last night and they gave me FOOD POISONING :( and yes I went though everything I ate yesterday and the only thing that was different then what my partner ate (who is completely fine) was velvet taco. It’s really a shame that I’m going to have to say goodbye to one of my faves. I’ll spare yall the graphic details but this is a MAJOR HEALTH ISSUE. Hopefully it is not E.coli or salmonella.

Velvet Taco in Round Rock delivers a creative twist on tacos that totally works. The menu is super unique – everything from spicy tikka chicken to Korean fried rice tacos – and somehow they all hit the mark.
The ingredients taste fresh, the flavors are bold, and the portions are generous without being over the top. I also love that they have vegetarian options and late-night hours.
Service was fast, even during the lunch rush. The vibe inside is laid-back and artsy, perfect for a casual meal or a quick bite with friends.
Don’t skip the red velvet cake for dessert – it’s dangerously good.
Highly recommend if you're looking for something different from your standard taco joint. Will definitely be back!

The the taco was not cooked well it was just like so doughy they just put the fish taco inside the little corn taco and didn’t even like cook it. It was not good at all. I was so disappointed because I really love velvet taco I’ll go to the one in the domain and also the one in Dallas and the food is like always good when I go there, but for whatever reason the round rock location they did not cook the tortilla. It was a corn tortilla, and it wasn’t even cook. It was just like oh my gosh, wouldn’t they cook? It was not good for that reasonso I don’t know what they’re doing at the round rock location, but it needs to be better with the tortillas.
We love Velvet Taco!! One of our absolute favorite frozen margaritas and tacos you can't find anywhere else! We also love their rewards program and are able to get free chips & queso every 3 or 4 visits.

I enjoy the interesting variety of tacos here and I am trying a different one when I come in. I have ordered the Korean taco several times and really like it. There were a few tacos i thought were okay but wouldn't order again but no regrets on any of them, looking at you tasty but greasy smash burger. My only knock is the music is pretty loud so being an older person 🧓🙉, it can be hard to have conversations but that is just a me problem 😋. I really enjoy the enthusiasm of folks working here.
