Iāve been coming to Wise guys since it first opened and I couldnāt wait to take my fiancĆ© there for lunch. I bragged this place up and it turned out it was a total letdown. The sandwiches were five bites before we finished them. I ordered the ālargeāItalian sandwich and she ordered the cheesesteak sandwich which was not bigger than a large biscuit. The onion rings were cold and tasteless. The total cost $34, including tip. We will never go back.

Iām not sure what happened to this place. It use to be amazing before Covid. Now, itās like $17 bucks for the cheesesteak combo. Iām like pretty sure the size of the sandwiches have been steadily decreasing and so has the fry portion size.
This use to be a spot Iād come every weekend until I was accused by one of the employees of trying to steal fries. That happened around March of 2025. I swore the place off after this, but recently gave it another shot (Dec 2025) even after that incident. I was the only party there; it was a ghost town and after I received my food, I knew exactly why.

looking for a weekend lunch spot came across this place. The mushroom swiss burger was good juicy had the fries with it. We also tried the Chicago dog first time that was pretty good I recommend giving it a try. We also tried the cheesesteak with jalapeƱo and onion rings. Onion rings had a slight sweetness but we liked them either way. The cheese steak was also juicy no complaints there. I would recommend this place. We came on a Saturday 3pm so service was prompt but the dinner Crowd did starts trickling in.

The most amazing Hamburger I ever had. The Chicago cheesesteak had lots of flavor and was wonderful. Cant wait to try the other items in the menu.

Ok. I'm a regular and have been eating here for years. I have seen this established gone from great to be just ok now. I understand that everyone is downsizing portion size. But this is getting ridiculous now. My wife & I stopped in for lunch today. I always get the Italian beef & she gets the cheese stake. The portion size of the beef & fries is lackluster at best. Also, I had the bogo advertisement. I remember the owner mentioning on the Facebook page to someone else that doesn't live in the area where its advertised. Just to show them the Facebook page with the Bogo. But was told that I needed to print it out. Ok, I love the food and we are from the Chicago area, but this establishment is getting worse over time.
