Yall's Down Home Cafe

Amazing food. All well seasoned popcorn shrimp, jalapeños, gizzards... the mashed potatoes, macaroni, tenders and cornbread were great!

We were sat down and served water. After about 20 minutes of waiting to place our order the waiter seats another table and doesn’t even look at us. So we left. Multiple times other waiters looked over at us but no one else came over. Guess our business wasn’t wanted.

It has been a minute since I've eaten cornbread from a restaurant and I ate the entire thing today so that says a lot. I didn't have to drown it and sauce put salt on it. Nothing real ingredients were used to make this food. It was not overloaded with salt. I got it delivered and it was still crispy and still hot. So kudos I loved it!

Food is great. I ordered here and the order was “misplaced” and no apologies only excuses were offered. From Chef to GM to all on site a big fail. These folks seem to want to fail. Take orders and disregard them. Sorry. Great food rendered unavailable by terrible service and staff. Good luck. Not good enough to stay in business.

The staff was great, very friendly and courteous. I wish the food would have been great,but the rice and gravy was a bit spicy for my liking and I love mac and cheese, I'm just not a fan of sharp cheddar.But all in all wasn't that bad.

Hands down the best service around!! It was our first time and will be coming back. The food was really good! And the kool-aid was delicious! Prices reasonable and service was great! Definitely very friendly place the vibe makes you feel like you’re at home.

Off the start, they sent us to the bar. Didn’t even ask if we wanted a table. We sat for 50mins after ordering three entrees. Multiple people came in after us, ordered to-go, and got their food before us. Well we never even got our food. We never even got an update. Nevermind a refill. It was busy, but saw multiple people just passing us up. I personally passed a menu to a couple who showed up 20mins after we ordered. They got their food. The bartender had no shame either (Sunday 6/1 noon shift) Terrible terrible service. Our party of three were the only ones in the restaurant that looked different for whatever it’s worth. Couldn’t help but wonder if that was why. AVOID THIS PLACE.

Sayyyy this the spot the Mac and cheese is to die for everything finger licking gooooood! My husband & I went today and when I say Everything was Perfect from food, customer service & music was a vibe!!! We will be back.

Amazing food and service. They have a sign that says they are short staffed, but we still got incredible service from Shay. I ordered the fried pork chops, mash, and collard greens. The corn bread was the best I've had. Everything tasted fresh and amazing. I will be coming back.

me and my Husband waited at the to go for over ten minutes no one came to take our order everyone that worked there just stared at us like we weren’t there customer service sucks they need to do better I’m a Chef from NYC and my city could never austin do better

This cafe needs to put a CAUTION THIS CAFE COULD BE HABIT FORMING!!!
