My wife and I got the caviar - good
The bummer of the meal was the waygu burger. Was very disappointing and plain. Five guys burger much better for half the price.

Super cute place with good food, especially the bread service - YUM. This was my third time to go in the last couple of years, but this was by FAR my best experience and that was all thanks to Linda. If you go, make sure to request her. She is a total sweetheart and an excellent server. Thanks for a fun time, Linda! :-)

First time in and I wanted to like this place, but it was a huge disappointment.
Bread and oil was great. Calamari appetizer was soggy and soaked in fry oil. Dinner portion Ceasar salad was very small and wilted, far from fresh with the lower stem still attached. Grilled chicken side for the salad was completely dry. The filet mignon was an extremely odd texture... and appeared to have been cooked in an oven I'm assuming as there were no grill marks or sear to it at all, just covered in a mushroom gravy. The gravy was great but I could only eat it with the bread that was served earlier in the meal.
The quality of the food did not match the price tag by a large margin.
The service was adequate and the waitress was very nice.
I just hope our experience was a one off...

ZERO STARS! The absolute worst hospitality I’ve ever experienced.
First time visiting Round Top and this restaurant came up on our search. The city is beautiful but please AVOID this place like the plague!
When we were greeted by the host (with his seating video monitor), my wife & were told to “run” to get our table before someone else takes it…not escorted to our table and kindly provided menus like other guests. We brushed it off.
Once sat, two separate parties, to the right and left of us, were greeted with menus, water, and their drinks were placed.
15 mins pass and after flagging the waiter, we were finally provided menus and water. How can they not notice we arrived first and were seated on an empty table??
We received our drinks then appetizer but were not provided silverware. Again…how?? We waited 40 mins to receive our mains, at one point telling the waiter to cancel our order due to how long and uncomfortable it was waiting. He insisted it was 3rd in line, and after +12 mins it finally arrived.
Worst part: I’m writing this after realizing they overcharged by card an extra +18%. Terrible! (Luckily, I emailed the receipt to myself).
I wish I could recommend this place, but I can’t and will tell others to SKIP this place. Completely shocked and disappointment to say the least. Never have I felt so ignored and not taken care of. AVOID THIS PLACE!!

We skipped lunch to make sure we had plenty of room for a big dinner at 4pm. While we were waiting to order we noticed several tablecloths around us being set on fire because staff had set lit candles in the chairs under the tablecloths. When pointing it out to the woman setting the table, she looked at us and rolled her eyes and tried to shove the burned tablecloth under the table.
I ordered a Paloma and was brought a screwdriver and was told they were out of grapefruit juice. Instead of asking me what I wanted instead, they just chose my substitution.
We ordered the caviar service and I was told everything was soy free (serious soy allergy). When it came out, it was obvious it was served with Ruffles potato chips so I asked again about soy. Upon checking a second time with the kitchen they determined it did have soy.
After sitting at the table for 1.5 hours, we finally had to flag down our waitress to order our main course. They brought out our salads and then no less than a minute later our entrees arrived. Without asking us, they sent our food back to the kitchen and brought it back 15 minutes later and all of the entrees were cold. Two of my friends ordered the carbonara and received two totally different inedible pasta. One had meat and spaghetti noodles that were uncooked and hard, the other had peas with fettuccine noodles with a strong taste of flour. When we asked the waitress about it, she said someone else (not at our table) requested those noodles. Neither one could eat the pasta because it was so bad. (See photo)
Another party member ordered the lasagna. The noodles were overcooked so much that the bottom layer was hard and the sides were burned.
On a positive note the ribeye, branzino and short rib were decent. The honey butter with the bread service was delicious.
Overall, this was one of the most disappointing meals we as a whole have ever had. The food and service were both problematic. This is my third time here, and I have wanted to understand the hype, but I just don’t.

This was one of the most disappointing — and frankly embarrassing — dining experiences I’ve ever had. I had booked this restaurant for my boss (a serious foodie & of Italian heritage) and colleagues, only to be told AFTER we sat down that every pasta dish was sold out — at an Italian restaurant!! We were given the choice of 3 dishes. One being the chicken which we ordered, only to be told 5 minutes later it was sold out, then suddenly available again. The food arrived looking slapped together, sides were missing and then of course “sold out,” the wines served weren’t what we ordered, and even the mashed potatoes were cold. The staff were doing their best, but it was clear they’d been let down by poor management. If you can’t accommodate guests who have reservations, you shouldn’t be taking walk-ins. Truly disappointing from start to finish.

My sister and I ate there yesterday evening. It was our first (and last) time dining there. The place was very cute and we were seated in the back left corner room. It was very hot in there. I was literally sweating! Then the food comes out…I ordered lasagna and my sister ordered spaghetti & meatballs. Both dishes arrived barely warm, not really palatable, the pasta was overcooked and soggy in both dishes. We sent our food back to be heated up and mine came back hot but still soggy and sisters came back still barely warm!! Now as far as quality…not only was the pasta overcooked but the “meat” in my lasagna must have been the cheapest ground meat on the market, Terrible!!!! The meatballs were mostly breading! So I would never recommend this restaurant! You expect good food when you pay $26 for a simple dish like spaghetti!

On first walking in you get the sense that the food is good , the place is packed with dinners. The menu shows high prices &30 on up per plate. Wine around $14 per glass. So I ordered the spaghetti and meat balls. The food when it arrived was room temp. The pasta was a corkscrew which I was fine with but was over cooked and lumped in a sticky congealed mess and the meat balls were made of breading. I’m not typically picky with food but come on why serve an expensive meal and serve fake meat balls . I won’t try this place again !

Overpriced, Understaffed.
Had to wait over an hour for food.
Manager was not rude and couldn’t care less.
We wanted a sit down restaurant with AC and this place did not disappoint. Beautifully decorated inside, French inspired. The menu had a variety of choices to choose from. We both decided on chicken options. Also they have bread service served with oil/balsamic & honey butter. Daily baked fresh bread. To end our meal we decided upon an Italian cream cake which was topped with a fresh blueberry glaze. Every plate was full of flavor. Well presented and cooked. Price is on the higher end, but you get what you pay for. The server was very attentive and sweet.
