Today, on our way home from Bryan, our waze map took us through Round Top and we decided to stop to tour the small town. We entered Royer's pie and bought a slice of their pecan pie and did not eat it till we got home in Brownsville. I have never tasted a pecan pie as good as this one. Most pecans pies are so sweet but Roger's pecan pie was not. My mistake was not buying a whole pie.😋

After reading the reviews, I am a bit stunned as to how you, as an owner replied to unsatisfied and disappointed people who were willing to try your business and the price you listed are way too expensive, they thought it was the worth to spend.

You cannot say, “We are humans.” The suggestion and advice to you and your employees is to sign up the sensitivity and etiquette workshop!

The pie selection was super nice — although the crust wasn’t my favourite. A bit too bland and not baked enough. However wonderful staff and ambiance of the place

Firstly, the apple, cherry, red velvet oreo, and junkberry are great. However, the crust does seem slightly underbaked in the red velvet oreo after purchasing twice within 1 month.
Coffee is subpar. Cold brew was lighter than the color of iced tea. Lattes were terribly sweet, with almost an inch of white chocolate not stirred in at the bottom of my iced latte.
Disappointed that pricing is also not advertised on the menu.
For the value, I would expect more.

I got one piece each of:
Chocolate chip
Texas trash
Sweet and salty
Espresso brownie

The Texas trash was amazing! Would definitely get again. The other three tasted old and almost flavorless. The chocolate flavor in both the espresso brownie and sweet and salty pie were not powerful at all, barely any chocolate taste - that alongside them both seeming stale. The chocolate chip pie was undercooked. My partner and I both tried all of them and neither one of us had a desire to finish any except for the Texas trash pie.

More like pie heaven!

If you’re anywhere near Round Top, do yourself a favor and make a stop at Royer’s Pie Haven. This cozy little spot feels like stepping into someone’s welcoming front porch—with way better dessert. The star of the show for me was the pecan pie: rich, gooey, perfectly sweet, and loaded with that buttery crunch that only a great pecan pie can deliver.

The gal working the counter was just as sweet and was kind enough to share some history on the house.

Will definitely be back and will definitely be leaving with more than just a single slice!
