Best place in the Concho Valley. Haha ??I had this on my last dinner here. Ribeye was 1/2 fat. I didn't get to eat much of it. Was still hungry after. They must be getting their meat at a cheap place. I won't pay 35 bucks from lowake again. That was actually gross. Best thing was the macaroni. I would get a CFS here next time. Not a ribeye. I think this is the second straight time the meat was covered in fat.

Delicious steak! Great cut portion on my bone in ribeye, perfectly cooked (medium), and seasoned just enough to add to the quality of the beef! Service was excellent (thanks Kelsey)…ambiance was unpretentious and laid back. The place is huge so it would be great for large dinner gatherings. I highly recommend!

My husband and I visited the steakhouse for the first time after hearing so many people talk about how great it is. We are regular visitors to Beef Masters in Ballinger Texas so we figured why not try another place? The atmosphere is very busy and the inside is not what I was expecting. It was clean bright and the tables were decently spread apart. We decided since we were limited on funds and our appetite wasn't huge to split a large chicken fried steak. We ordered that and the extra setup for $4.50. as busy as they were our food came out fast. The steak was served on top of the gravy and the batter on the outside was very thin. They offered extra gravy and we were thankful. The potatoes come undressed and they give you sour cream and "butter spread" to go on them. I guess if you think about it you can get cheese and bacon bits off the salad bar to go with your potato. The salad bar is very limited as are the choice of sides. The rolls are light and fluffy and quite delicious. What we didn't like was that to have potatoes be so good and rolls be so delicious and to be served butter spread is a travesty. Those two items need real butter. The chicken fried steak itself was very tender but you could tell it had been pounded thin. When I ask about the desserts because the chocolate meringue pie sounded good I was told that they are not made in house (none of the desserts are). Needless to say we didn't get dessert and ask for our check. I will say that we watched other items being brought out of the kitchen such as onion rings. The onion rings seem to be the most popular because at least six orders came out while we sat there. A couple next to us ordered hamburgers and the patties looked super thick and juicy. We might be back to try an actual steak. We were just kind of disappointed with some of the things that we expected from a place of this caliber. Not bad but for what they charge for steaks we expected more homemade items than were available.

It's on the expensive side as far as food goes. It use to be amazing food so paying more wasn't too bad everynow and then. Now it depends on what you get, if it tastes good or not. Fried things are a little better tasting then the other things but are heavy on the grease. The meat/steak has A LOT of pepper but not much other flavor and is lacking salt. There isn't a lot of choices for sides. The fries are usually my favorite thing to eat when I'm at a steakhouse but I don't like the ones here and neither does anyone else in my family. The staff has always been nice.Vegetarian options: They have salads and vegetables/sides as a meal.Parking: The parking lot is horrible and if you are not careful you will get blocked in or hit many huge potholes and/or drive off the curb or steep area.Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu they have a little tiny area with a few paid games like the claw game. But it's not a place I personally would take little kids if I had them but it's a personal choice not any other reason.Wheelchair accessibility: IF you can get in one of the front parking spots you can get to the wheel chair ramp but this is usually taken and the last spot is by a huge drop of that is scary if you are in a wheelchair or have mobility issues like me.

Steaks were big but not flavorful. Salad bar was good. Baked potato had been sitting around for awhile. Chairs and tables a little outdated. All the girls working there had their phones out most of the time we were there. 12/1/23 @530
