Lowake Steak House Reviews
We made a special trip to eat at the restaurant. The KC for 1 was plenty to feed the 2 of us. We were very disappointed with the flavor. The seasoning was too heavy in regards to salt. I almost spit it out with the first bite. I scraped all the seasoning off and was able to actually finish eating it. The salad bar was lacking. I would’ve preferred more choices of salad dressing. We got green beans and baked potato for sides. The green beans were bland. They didn’t have...read full review
Bes Gaw dam steak you’ll eat recommend 100% will return
Was my favorite place for steaks. Sadly to report that it is going downhill to me. Today’s steak was over 50% gristle. I mentioned to the waitress about this happening with previous visits. I got a few decent bites off this one, but left the rest. Also asked that it be cooked medium. It came out medium rare. Lowake Steak House is a casual restaurant known for its delicious steaks and family-friendly atmosphere. The beef is a highlight, with many praising the "amazing" beef and the "great cut portion" of their bone-in ribeye. The Porterhouse is a standout dish, and the chicken fried steak, though pounded thin, is said to be tender. Visitors also enjoy the light and fluffy rolls, which are considered a highlight of the meal.
The sides at Lowake Steak House are a draw, with "down home" sides and a "nostalgic" salad bar that receives positive mentions. The service is friendly and efficient, with staff being described as very welcoming and attentive. The restaurant has a rustic, yet cozy atmosphere that feels like stepping back in time. Its bright, clean interior and well-spaced tables make it suitable for large groups or family gatherings.
In addition to steaks, the menu includes hamburgers and onion rings. Though the salad bar is described as "very limited," desserts are not made in-house, but the overall quality of food and service makes it a popular choice. The restaurant is also kid-friendly, with vending games to entertain children, and some reviewers mention the excellent service and good-sized meat cuts cooked to perfection.
Overall, Lowake Steak House is a great option for those seeking a good steak in a relaxed, friendly environment. Despite some limitations like the closed patio or limited salad bar, many visitors recommend it for its delicious food, friendly staff, and enjoyable atmosphere.
