I can't believe I have missed this spot. I only visited because a friend invited me to lunch. It is so delicious and I highly recommend. I am vegan and the Chef/Owner recommended vegan options for me. The atmosphere was so calm and relaxing with exceptional Asian food that was so fresh.

Our first time eating at this new hidden gem Lao/Thai/Combodian style restaurant in Rowlett but it exceeded our expectation. Food was good, service was excellent and the restaurant was clean with super nice decor. Highly recommended if you love eating Thai food!

The Pad Thai was the best I have had. The owner was very friendly and explained they only cook fresh noodles and don't use dried noodles.

Rumdoul is an absolute gem in Rowlett. The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the care and passion in every dish. The service is warm and attentive without feeling rushed, and the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between inviting and relaxing. You can tell the chef truly loves what he does and it shines through in the whole experience. Highly recommend.

Came across this hidden gem and was pleasantly surprised. The food by far the best we've had in a long time. So good that our son, who said he wasn't that hungry, helped with appetizers and then ate an entire plate. Every item we tried was fresh and the plating was nicely done.
We will definitely be back!

Really love this place! The owner is extremely friendly and personable. Let them know about dietary restrictions, and they’ll help accommodate you. I’m gluten free, and the Red Curry is my favorite!

New owners, new menu, new recipes. Very pleasant owner greets you. I had the drunken noodles and it was very good. They use fresh noodles and they were perfectly soft and chewy. The menu is more Thai than the previous menu - not a bad thing. Note that iced tea is $3.00 per glass - you are charged for each refill.

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Ramdoul on Saturday evening 26 July, 2025.

We were promptly greeted by the cheerful owner. As we mulled over the menu and asked about a few dishes we were unfamiliar with, he graciously answered questions, explained ingredients, described similar dishes from other cultures, and made suggestions, all without being condescending or exasperated.

We had Chicken Satay and Green Papaya Salad (Laos style) as appetizers. Both dishes were wonderful examples of what they should be. I typically forego the nam jim stay peanut sauce, but theirs was savory and delicious without the cloying peanut butter sweetness many places offer. I dug in. The green papaya salad was the perfect balance of sweet, salty, savory and hot. I ordered it at a level 4 heat and while the was an initial punch of heat with each bite, it quickly subsided and left me wanting more.

Mains were caramelized pork for me and combination noodle soup for my wife. Both were wonderful. The pork was tender, not too sweet, and came with a dish of delicious chili paste to doctor each bite to your preferred level of pain. A side of steamed rice was there to help with the spice. My wife's generous bowl of soup featured wide rice noodles along with beef, chicken, and shrimp in a rich and savory chicken-based stock.

The owner checked in often to check our progress, satisfaction, and to keep our drinks filled.

We will be back often!
