As someone in the food industry this review is a review of solely the food from a culinary standpoint. I ordered Chicken fried chicken, with mac and cheese, mash potatoes, and corn bread as sides. The mash potatoes are seasoned well with a slight but pleasant peppery taste however the texture of the mash was very similar to what you would find when using a box/instant potatoes mix. This place is the best! Ive been coming here for about 7 years now. The food is always great. Staff is very friendly. And they serve breakfast all day. So I can sleep in and still get some pancakes, or biscuits and gravy, or the Big 8(2eggs, 2bacon, 2sausage and 2 pancakes) I highly recommend the Big 8. I would say that the only thing this place is lacking is somewhere to sit outside. All they need is a couple tables with some shade so I can sit outside with my dog and this place...
The food is good and hearty. Nice sized chicken fried steak. Takes a bit to get your lunch if you get there at noon, but will be worth the wait. Just plan ahead. Today, the service from my waitress was spot on! I work close, so yeah, this could become a serious habit...
