KEKI Japanese Cheesecake & Drinks is a recommended matcha place where drinks and pastries are done right every time. The matcha is whisked well, not clumpy, with a strong flavor and a perfect ratio that isn't completely masked by the milk. Drinks are well-balanced, and while pretty sweet, they are not overly sweet. Customers can adjust the sweetness level with syrup. The downside is that drinks come in small portions with lots of ice, and amounts are pre-measured. The space itself is small with just a few tables, so it is more of a grab-and-go spot. Customers can order at the counter or through the kiosks. The gluten-free Basque cheesecake was denser than expected and lacked a creamy texture, but the chocolate cheesecake is decadent. The sliced cheesecake and cream puffs are also good. Coffee lattes and iced coffees are amazing, well balanced, and flavorful. Although prices soar to the high heavens, the quality of drinks and pastries makes it worth it. This is one of only two places in Dallas to go for matcha.
