We stopped in Salado when we were heading to Austin. My wife has a favorite store she likes to stop at. While she was shopping, I was looking for a place to eat. Cathy's Boardwalk was one of the options for eating lunch, and since the reviews were favorable, we decided to eat there. I had the grilled chicken plate, and my wife had the chopped steak plate. The chicken appeared to be a little overcooked as it wasn't real tender. My wife said she loved hers.
Everything was very good abkut this place. Got a very tasty crepe and coffee. Also shopped around and got a few things. On top of that everyone is super friendly. Will go back for sure.
Cathy's is a wonderful dining experience! A colleague and I went for lunch, and were pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem in Salado. The food was great, and the service was excellent. I can recommend the Blue Cheese Burger (I added 2 slices of bacon 🥓 😋!), and it was prepared exactly as requested. The sweet tea wasn't too sweet, which is often the case in several restaurants.
