“Our family had a wonderful experience at the Barton House for Easter. The food was wonderful, Cooper gave great service and myself being a history buff was in awe of the surroundings. Also the manager was so accommodating happily giving us the history of the home and offering to get our multi generational photo. Would highly recommend, thank you Barton House!”
“Atmosphere is nice the bartenders are always pleasant and helpful with suggesting beers. It looks like they have over 50 beers on tap and an extensive wine list. The only weird part is going next door to order food but the food was good and fast and they deliver it to you.”

“Pleasant little cafe in Salado, we waited a few minutes before we were provided menus, but we had our choice of breakfast or lunch. Food was decent, biscuit was fluffy. I had eggs with red potatoes, onions, peppers and sausage.”

“Had the bacon, egg, and bean tacos in homemade tortillas. The flavor was mouth bursting, just delicious with their unique salsa. The only down is that this place accepts cash only, and it is a “pick to go place”, the atmosphere is outdoors with only on picnic table.”

“Once again, the Alexander crew treated us like royalty. Great food, great atmosphere and the best service ever! Thank you for hosting our annual staff appreciation dinner. We will be back next year since one of us will NOT consider another location or menu!”

“Excellent BLT, relaxed atmosphere, enthusiastic waitstaff. Since it's off Main, they aren't going to be as swamped with tourists. Upgrading to sweet potato fries unfortunately wasn't worth the extra 3.50. They were chewy and room temp. Since that was half of my food, it really lowered my food score.”

“I just had my first big Tony's cheese steak at the Robertson family farm. I have a million good things to say. they took the best bread from back east, combined with texas ribeye and fresh provolone. if you ever miss the taste of home or want to know what a true philly taste like check them out. to boot the truck couldn't be owned and operated by a better pair! I will be making the 30 minite drive each way weekly to grab a classic or a garlic parm cheesesteak do the same, you won't be sorry.”
“Great bar with great service. The bartenders are great and friendly. Harrys has beer and also serve liquor unlike most bars in Salado. The patio is big and great place to hang out!”

“Oh yes I did! It’s been about 20 years since I’ve eaten a Monte Cristo sandwich and this one did not disappoint. My husband’s burger was also great. Not much for atmosphere, but the food makes up for that. They let us bring a beer from next door. The teenagers running the Friday night were attentive, respectful and seemed to keep busy actually working. Loved it!”

It's a laid-back venue with outstanding barbecue offerings.Menu attached in picture.”

“My favorite place from my recent trip to Salado. I had a scoop of the wild blueberry and a scoop of the lemon sorbet and the mix was wonderful. Owner was kind and genuine and you can tell he has a passion for what he does. All items made from scratch and organic. Highly recommend stopping in and trying pretty much anything. I'll definitely be back in!”

“I recommend for coffe not sandwiches unless you like a huge amount of mustard and soggy sandwich. Edit to note they made it right after I complained about the sandwich. I appreciate the customer service!”
“I love this place!! I’ve been coming here since it was just a “coffee shop”. A great place for a quick lunch, coffee or working remotely if you’re sick of being at home. Since they’ve added cocktails it’s been great to unwind at the end of the day. LOVE the outdoor patio and live music.”
