“We went to the shed for a late lunch, and it was amazing as most places in Salado. Before I forget, I want to mention the waitress Lisa, who was amazing and gave amazing customer service! She was very familiar with the menu and had some really good recommendations, which I always enjoy when eating at a restaurant. We had the shed sampler, which was mozzarella sticks, hot wings and chips and salsa. We opted for the Dr Pepper wings (housemate sauce) YUM and and the kickin' bourbon. The ambience is much like something that you would see on diners, dives, and drive-ins. The food was great. My BLT was perfect and I will absolutely make this one of my staples when I'm in Salado.“
“Once again, the Alexander crew treated us like royalty. Great food, great atmosphere and the best service ever! Thank you for hosting our annual staff appreciation dinner. We will be back next year since one of us will NOT consider another location or menu!“
“Great food, great service, a little expensiveAfter an exhausting journey to our parent’s home, we found ourselves craving dinner and chanced upon Mosaic Grill in Belton, TX. The choice was made easier thanks to the persuasive online reviews. The ambiance of the place struck us immediately; it had a simple, almost 'Plain Jane' diner feel, but what caught our eye was the impressive array of beer taps lining one wall, showcasing a fine selection. The warm welcome we received upon entering was a breath of fresh air, with Desirae eagerly inquiring if it was our first visit, which indeed it was.Desirae was an absolute treasure. Her friendly demeanor and expert guidance through ordering made our experience memorable. I'm already looking forward to returning if only to enjoy her excellent service again. As for the meal, we savored both the beef and chicken shawarma wraps, accompanied by fries. The wraps were tantalizingly seasoned, bursting with flavors that were further enhanced by the delectable garlic sauce. However, my husband found the wrapping technique slightly inconvenient as the wrap itself tended to unravel upon peeling the paper back. Now, onto the fries - as someone who considers themselves a connoisseur of French fries, I can confidently say these were sublime, boasting a perfect balance of crispy exteriors and soft, fluffy interiors. It was nothing short of fry nirvana. In conclusion, Mosaic Grill earns a solid 4-star rating from us. While the meal was delightful and Desirae's service was exceptional, the prices were somewhat steep even with its selection of beers. Nonetheless, it's a culinary experience we recommend.“
“I went for the pies at Thanksgiving & Christmas. Their chocolate cream pie was top notch. This is my fave pie to get anywhere I go and most places have a soggy crust. But not here - the crust was light and flaky with every bite! Absolutely delish!Fast forward to last Friday and I did their Friday night special - 2 meals, 4 sides, and a dessert for $40. I got the ribeye steak tips w/shrimp and hubs got the chicken fried steak. My expectations were not very high on the steak tips and, to be honest, when I got home and opened the container, they looked like they might have been overcooked. However, one bite and my eyes rolled back in my head! They had grilled onions and the flavor was spot on! Very tender and very delicious! The place doesn’t disappoint! It’s a bit of a drive being in Jarrell, but oh so worth it!!!“
“My wife and kids love this little restaurant! Very inviting and cute diner. Perfect place for a family to go for lunch or dinner. Huge menu that you have to come back again and again to try all the food you wanna eat. Food has always been good and staff are friendly and willing to help out whatever way they can.“
“Great for a chain restaurant. Staff was on point, curtious and nice. Restaurant was clean and food proportions were excellent. Will continuously come backParking: Lots of parking, never had a problem finding any.Kid-friendliness: Have coloring menus for the kids“
“We had so much fun. The atmosphere was great, the band wasn't good but the music they played while the band was on break was fantastic, the drinks and food was good and of course the people there were friendly. We most definitely will be going back.“
“We dined here during a stay (we are from the UK) and were looked-after by Marlee, great food and service- especially for the children who were still a little jet-lagged. Would definitely recommend for travellers & families.Kid-friendliness: Were great with ours, who were tired and a bit grumpy (before!)“
“I first ate here when I was young, probably 20 years ago, and even tho I live in a Alabama now I have went out of my way to go thru Belton again just for Ernie's! It hasn't changed at all! I even brought my husband twice and he loved it!! This really is some of the best fried chicken I've had. I hope this place never changes and I can't wait to come back.“
“Elizabeth is a strong, fierce, and wickedly intelligent young woman. Her skills and expertise in fine dining have compelled me to leave a review. As unremarkable as my meal was, Elizabeth was a shining beacon of hope that my experience would not be tainted by mediocre (as best) cooking. But it was her who made the experience memorable, rich, delightful, even. The world simply cannot go on without the paragon of service which is...Elizabeth.“
“Had a blast on my Saturday outing at the gin at Nolan Creek! ? Let me tell you, the cotton balls were beyond delicious - like, seriously next-level gourmet. Makes me think of how when I'm traveling (which I LOVE), finding those hidden gems where the food just sings to your soul is what it's all about. #FoodieAdventures #“
“I stopped by to grab lunch to go. I ordered a chicken fried steak & onion rings, which came with a little side salad & crackers. The atmosphere is what you would expect from a little country hole in the wall. I love these little places. The staff was friendly and hard working. About the food, I wasn't thrilled with my order, but it wasn't bad either. It was just ok. I think if I would've eaten there, it would have been better. Some foods just don't travel well. I plan on going back, and next time, I'll take the time to sit and enjoy the atmosphere.“
“My curbsides pickup are was an excellent experience and ordering over the Cracker Barrel APP was simple and seamless. The best part of my recent curside pickup was that before I could finished parking and informing the server I had arrived, She was at my vehicle with a friendly smile saying she looked out the window and saw my vehicle. I was impressed and very pleased. I always receive excellently service at the Harker Heights Cracker Barrel and would highly recommend it to anyone!“
“We haven't had good luck over our stay in the area with the first few places we went to but this place really picked it up for us great service we got sat right away the waitress was amazing very friendly attentive got us everything that we needed the food literally came out so fast and it was super tasty this place is definitely a Hidden Gem for sure.“
“Took my granddaughter for her birthday. They don't have a special desert for people celebrating their birthday, but the manager made her a slice of chocolate cake with ice cream covered in caramel, and brought it to the table, and sang happy birthday for her. All of the staff was friendly ... special mention, the butter crescent were delicious.“
“Great experience I had a small issue about an easy fix and the entire staff was fast acting and very respectful to me and my mother. The young man who was working there 02/26/24 8:00pm was very sweet and gentle with the care of our food. Definitely will be returning my receipt says Olo. Idk if that is his name but if so thank you so much for being kind.“
“Stopped in for dinner the other night, I was excited to try Rosslers BBQ brisket sandwich collab with Papas Cafe. The sandwich its self was fantastic and I expect nothing less from Rosslers, even with the lean it was great, paired with Rosslers own house BBQ sauce it was fantastic. Papas cafes onion rings were also surprisingly great.I took a tour of their extensive menu and got some of their catfish. Which was pretty good however $10 for 5pcs of catfish with no sides left me wanting.Their French toast breakfast sampler was an absolute delight and their French toast was definitely worth eating, so so good! However it comes with this cheap frozen grocery store sausage that was rather dissatisfying. The side salad was simple yet impressed me with its creamy ranch dressing which had a hint of freshness to it that kept me going.I was not excited about the $15 price tag for the Reuben sandwich which is little more than the size of a grilled cheese sandwich stuffed with canned corned beef hash. Not the kind of Reuben most people expect to be eating. The grits were run of the mill, unseasoned and uninterestingDefinitely enjoyed their apple pie as the it’s served warm and the apples are perfectly cooked.Overall our experience was pleasant, our waitress didn’t seem to be having the greatest night and the prices seemed really expensive for a middle of the road diner. I likely won’t be back, not that I had a negative experience but only I could have a similar experience right down the road for a much fairer price.“
“Found this place by accident when I took a side by accident. Wife and tried the blackened tilapia and grilled turkey and cheese sandwich. Both were very good and the waitress was very friendly. Definitely will go again when passing through Salado.“
