We were there on a Thur before 5 pm and seated in the Cantina. We waited an hour and the food never arrived. The waitress kept telling us that the food was coming out. We finally left…hungry. We won’t be back.

I am writing to share my disappointment with my recent experience at your music venue. As a first-time concert attendee, I was disheartened by the lack of activities available for children. The absence of options like corn hole or horseshoes, unless sponsored, created a sense of exclusion. Children need opportunities for interaction, and it was disheartening to see them bored or acting out due to the lack of engagement. Food is delicious! Music was wonderful!

First of all I would like to start by saying the decor was nice I especially love the tables in the rustic design.
Now on to the food I had the Johnny q but it was exactly as advertised we even bought one to take home even though she doesn't know she's only getting less than half .
The combo plate with brisket and sausage was good also in the house barbecue sauce was amazing .
Are beverages were not up to par,
of our licking but it was good enough to get a positive rating.
Overall the experience was good.
the food was wonderful !!
The atmosphere was a odd, seemed forced at times but the food is so good I would definitely still recommend Johnny's to everyone.

The all-star of the meal was the pecan cobbler. Never heard of it before, but it was AWESOME! The bread slices were nice too, had a “fresh-baked” feel.

We also had the pulled pork (not bad, but came sauced, so no control of that), brisket (was ok), sausage (delicious), cheese & jalapeño sausage (not as good as the regular, but not bad), turkey (disappointing, looked processed and tasted like dirty smoke), potato salad (just ok), and mac & cheese (creamy, but not a lot of flavor).

Service was great, responsive and respectful.

Johnny’s Steakhouse in Salado, Texas, is a fantastic spot that offers a great combination of delicious food, a unique atmosphere, and live entertainment. Their menu is packed with flavorful options that are always cooked to perfection. Whether you’re in the mood for a steak, burgers, or comfort food classics, you won’t be disappointed.

The facility itself is charming and welcoming, with a rustic yet polished vibe that feels distinctly Texan. It’s a great place to relax with friends or family. What really sets Johnny’s apart is their live music. They consistently bring in top-notch bands, making it a hotspot for both great dining and entertainment. It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in Salado!

Great customer service but I’m sorry my food was dry. I had high expectations as it was recommended and I wanted to know what the hype was about but I’m sorry it wasn’t all that. Our server was amazing though FAith, thank you for your great customer service.

I ordered a 12oz ribeye with corn and Mac and cheese. The steak was cooked perfectly, it needed a little salt, but overall it was amazing with a smokey tast. The Mac and cheese and corn were fresh and well made.

The only disappointing food was the peach cobbler. It tasted like it had pecans in it. I expected a thick southern crust, but got a flaky powdery crust. Not at all a southern style cobbler.
