So so grateful to have the Stagecoach in Salado! Such a solid option for lunch and dinner. Also recently tried for brunch which was nice too. Faves of ours are the chicken fried chicken and club, but we’ll usually try whatever dessert they have too and have never been disappointed!

It's was our first and last time. We were so hyped to trying a well-known establishment in Salado, Texas. We were very disappointed. We had the Reuben sandwich and the cheesesteak sandwich. Both were not good.

Terrible service&food from people trying to be nice? I think? On a Friday, I called to make a reservation, confirmed we would arrive during happy hour, when I arrived 45 mins later they said they arent having happy hour. What? I asked if they would honor the phone confirmation? After waiting 15 mins for water & complementary Hush puppies they said “the meal is comped.” Okay weird? But thanks? When they delivered the water, the waitress spilled it on the table and into my husband’s lap…really people? After waiting 25 mins 3 people checking on the drinks- FINALLY the cocktails were delivered. Then the food was underwhelming. No garnish? Bare plate, with sandwich and onion rings. Waitress confirmed that the Patties were not made in house. I told my husband, “if the meal wasn’t comped, I would leave.” I asked for mustard and was handed two mustard packets, like I was at McDonalds. Then after eating their subpar meal, we were charged for drinks = $28. And when I asked for change for cash, waitress looked at me like I had two heads. We paid cash because it looked like the fastest way to leave, and I told the waitress the $20 was a tip on the full amount of $78. . . With a stoic/blank look in response?!? No smile of gratitude? You did spill a full glass of water on my husband’s lap- and I still tipped you?!? In conclusion, Don’t bother eating here, there’s lots of other cute places- right across the street in fact!

Walking distance from my room to restaurant and local shops. Food was freshly made and well seasoned. Many drink options.

Went there for lunch on 11/6/25. I ordered the chicken fried steak. It was the most overcooked piece of meat I’ve ever seen. When I cut into it all the crispy breading fell off onto the plate. I told the server there is no way I can eat this and I didn’t want anything else. There was no way I wanted anything coming out of that kitchen. When I paid for my drink the server said the manager told her it fully cooked like I was complaining that it was undercooked. Unbelievable! I’ll never go back.

Good food and service!
Pros: Food. Amazing. Chicken fry was perfect.
Cons: bartender was over worked and unable to tender the bar. Management issue for sure. He was great but couldn't get help from other staff.

Great, well lit place with delicious food! Our waitress was incredibly nice and accommodating. Two in our party had the chicken fried chicken, and both loved it. I had the tomato bisque soup with the three cheese grilled cheese, and the soup was absolutely amazing. My only complaint is that the bread on the grilled cheese was pretty thick, so it didn't have a great bread:cheese ratio. I would definitely come back for a bowl of the bisque!

Had a great lunch at the Stagecoach Inn restaurant this past weekend. The food was great, service even better. Our server was an energetic young lady named Unique. She was phenomenal! Always made sure to check on us and was super friendly!
