Love this place, great service, great food, small town feels. And the best margaritas around.

Was super excited to try this place, sat down super hungry from out of town ordered drinks and pizza, waited just under 30 minutes to have a “small” pizza vs a large brought out. The gentleman said let me confirm. No one came back said anymore, gave it 10 more minutes and called the waitress over. Asked was that ours and does that mean we have to wait all over again. No apology just a yes. Cancelled my order as we are hungry. That was no other solution as to what might be faster. Very disappointed.

Funky little dive with basic American food like burgers and hot dogs. Ordered the chips and queso and it could have been better, but the rest of the meal was good. Would visit again to try something else.

Food was very good and came quick. Very neat, interesting atmosphere as it actually is in an old, rehabed shed. Plenty of parking. Fair prices. Very scenic town and several antique stores close by

I had the BLT which was classic and good but nothing to rave about. Others had a chicken salad and frito pies. Again, they were good but nothing over the edge. The waitress was funny and great and the owner was friendly and welcoming. The inside was nice with a rustic vibe. You can choose to either eat inside or outside on the tables that also have umbrellas if needed.

There are many places to eat in Salado, Texas. If you want to go to a place that has unparalleled and exceptional service that has quality food that matches the service, then look no further. We were recommended by our business partner at Salado Creek Jewelers by Kiki Creations located in Salado at 106 N Main St, where we have a storefront inside their shop when looking for a great place to eat. Kim and Kiki said this is a must try. They were not wrong, as it is a phenomenal restaurant. We had the pleasure to eat here multiple times while staying down the road at the Inn on The Creek, and everything was extravagant. When you first walk in the door, you are greeted and immediately feel as if you are a part of their family. Everyone is very kind. They all make sure you are well taken care of. From the front hostesses desk, kitchen staff, waiter's,waitresses, and all of the people who work together, they provide an awesome experience. You will not be disappointed. The quality of the food is exquisite, and you will find no better while staying in Salado or if you're just passing through. We were unsure of what to get and wanted to try out their sampler platter and order their cheese curds. Let me tell you the flavors were exceptional and the cheese curds were not greasy and were filled completely with cheese, unlike some places that pass off a hollow cheese stick. The sampler was amazing, and we highly recommend the kicking bourbon sauce for the wings. We did the boneless wings, and they were amazing. On the sampler, you also receive two gigantic jalapeños full of cheese wrapped in thick bacon that is to die for. Your taste buds will definitely thank you, and your day will be significantly better just from eating there. I opted for a Shiner Bock, and it came out in a bone-chilling cold glass that went down so easily. The customer service is spot on as everyone made sure they are there for you without having to wave down your waiter or waitress. It's hard to find a place nowadays that cares about providing great customer service and amazing food. Let me tell y'all this place does both so easily that it seems natural. The restaurant inside was very busy, but all the staff ran the operation like a well-oiled machine, and despite how busy they were, they were able to provide exceptional service each time we were there. My only complaint is that I wish I saved room for dessert because I heard it too is out of this world. However, after eating here twice, we were so full that we didn't have the room. When we came the second time the very next day, we ordered the Shed burger with the jalapeño bun. The burger was delectable, and the bun was even grilled. The meat was very flavorful and not greasy at all. The sweet potato fries definitely hit the spot, and the portions were huge. The burger was so phenomenal we ate it so quickly I didn't get a chance to take a picture of it. If you are in Salado staying at The Inn on the Creek or just passing through, you need to stop here and eat. By not doing so, you are doing your taste buds a disservice. If you are a fan of great customer service, amazing food, that will keep you coming back for more, then look no further. The people at The Shed will definitely take care of you! From all of us at Texas Blue Courage Company LLC, keep up the outstanding work. We enjoyed everything and look forward to eating here again. Thank y'all for treating us like family and taking such great care of us. We definitely will be recommending y'all to everyone we meet. Respectfully, Texas Blue Courage Company LLC Justin and Sheila Kmiec

I had the turkey burger with sweet potato fries, it tasted fine. However 2 hours later I was on the toilet and I was throwing up as well it was coming out both ends it was the most horrible food poisoning I ever had in my life! My guess is they did not cook the burger all the way through-
I will never go back

So lets jump into this! If you find yourself North from Austin area and hungry, there is a sleep town off I-35 called Salado. The Shed is a country rustic style Cafe. After antique shopping , head over. Here you will find burger, dogs, salads, frito "shed" pie and the like. Their queso and salsa is a healthy portion. Chili has no beans as is right and proper but interestingly does not have tomatoes sauce but has chopped tomatoes. Very unique and good. They really should offer a cup of chili as a side dish and/or offer it as addon extra for the queso and chips! (Strong hint to owner). Burgers are solid. Buns are provided by outside vender and really really good. They are fluffy, soft and tasty. Nice relaxing place. Recommend stopping by and then try out the local brewery or antique shops. Sweet friendly Texas town!

Well, the moment I saw baked potato pizza on the menu, I had to try it. This place was absolutely delicious and the service was great. I will return here when I am close by.
