I am from Dallas Texas. I was there for a few days and went to angry cactus to celebrate a birthday. A early during the week, we were a family party of 14 we were not able to sit until the whole party was there and the restaurant was empty. It was very annoying to wait when we could’ve sat down had some drinks visited while other family got there!! The food was over priced for a weekday and the server was annoyed with us whenever we asked for something she was not friendly at all like she had to do her job. Not ever going back!!

We went on a Thursday and it was a group of 13 maybe 14 . The restaurant was empty and they would not sit us down until the entire group showed up .. mind you we had 2 very elderly people that the staff could clearly see . After being told it was there “rule” we waited and had lunch and we celebrated a birthday and when we asked for utensils, they gave us tablespoons and told us they didn’t have any silverware unwrapped. Again we complied with their rules.
In my opinion, the food is overrated and overpriced. This is not authentic Mexican restaurant much less food.
I lived in the big city of Dallas, my whole life and can name a few restaurants that are upscale authentic Mexican cuisines. This was the first and will be the last time. I will dine in this facility when I’m in town.

Every one from the dishwasher whom I met while I was parking, to the manager who greeted me as I walked in was amazing. I ate at the bar and the bartender makes a mean old fashioned and was very polite and attentive. I had the 8 oz steak and it was great. The sauce especially stood out.

We went here for the first time this week. Cool place. Tastefully decorated with a nice ambiance. Good service. Food was really good and the portions were the right size, so we didn't have to take leftovers home. They serve the best bread I've tasted in San Angelo. One thing we weren't a fan of is that they add onions to everything - even things that you don't expect. Onions on a chicken-fried steak. Onions on the queso. If you're not a fan like us, recommend you ask them to leave off any green onions, fried onions, pico, etc.

I would have given 5 stars but unfortunately there was hair in my food. I'm usually super excited to go here for dinner and usually only go on special occasions so it was really disappointing when my chicken fried steak had hair in it. My server was wonderful so I chose not to say anything, it clearly wasn't her hair as her hair was light and the hair was very dark.

Extremely disappointing experience. The manger was dismissive and condesending about our sending the Antelope back - FULL of tendons so they remade it. The second plate comes out and my husband CHOKED on another piece on tendons. Had to spit it up on the plate to avoid needing the Heimlich manouver. Best part!? They charged us FOR BOTH PLATES. If you remake a plate due to your poor cook, how DECEITFUL to add it TWICE the ticket??? And to add it thinking you pulled one over on a customer?! Don’t worry after MUCH debating they finally took BOTH antelope plates off. I would say the bare minimum to make the situation right. Extremely poor service and even more disappointing management.
Sat at the bar and had lack luster service with bartends ignoring eye contact to not take care of our group.
0/10 experience - happy to never have to return! Traveling from out of town and decided to try a restuaunt with great reviews. What a mistake.
