Visiting from Dallas on a college tour. Was super excited about the King Ranch Antelope. 6 oz rare came out gray and 4oz due to the cool time. Management told me it would be 15 minutes to get me another at rare temp. My table was completely done with entrees. Asked for a glass of wine for the wait, that was missed as well.
I know King Ranch would want their protein treated better than this!
Disappointed.

Amazing food. We were only in San Angelo for one night and we chose this restaurant. Best choice. Unbelievable craft burgers, Prickly Pear Margarita and great staff. Now craving an “Angry Burger”. Great prices, too.

Awesome place! The first thing you notice is the interior. The interior design is rustic with a touch of cool!! Then comes the Prickly Pear Margarita!! OMGosh!! Best margarita I've ever had!! The menu...there is something there for everyone, from burgers to some really classy dishes!! The staff was very friendly and service was quick. I need to visit San Angelo again just to go back to the Angry Cactus.

Delicious food! Great service.

Friendly staff, not angry at all. The grilled salmon with pico was fantastic. My daughter loved the mac and cheese-bacon and peppers mixed in.

Great atmosphere and service. My bartender, Ani was the best and made for a great experience.

Thank you!

Check out the video—5th image! Took it upon entering.
A spontaneous road trip to West Texas found our evening stroll at this pearl nestled at the end of a well illuminated street. Earlier in the evening we were extremely disappointed with Google search on the offerings we were given.

We went into three, left two immediately, visited one and thought there has to be more. So, perusing the streets we were rewarded with the Angry Cactus! We were not disappointed!
It’s not fair to only give four ⭐️ , but I’m basing it solely on what we ordered which was an appetizer and brewskies. I’m sad to say we gobbled it up before we even had a chance to take a picture.
Everything was served eloquently and pretty much to our liking. I must say that the oil for the bread could’ve used some more flavor or maybe the option of seasoned oils??? But a nice change from chips and salsa!
I would definitely go out of my way to stop here again and oh by the way, Angry Cactus… Get with Google and get yourself up there! Because you deserve it!!!

A shout out to the young man who waited on us—the staff was 100%! The atmosphere was 100%! Our earlier disappointing afternoon was rewarded with a cherry on top… Or rather an angry 🌵! Check out this hidden jewel!!!

a waitress dumped a tray of drinks down my back and the manager was mad at me for being upset

I am from Dallas Texas. I was there for a few days and went to angry cactus to celebrate a birthday. A early during the week, we were a family party of 14 we were not able to sit until the whole party was there and the restaurant was empty. It was very annoying to wait when we could’ve sat down had some drinks visited while other family got there!! The food was over priced for a weekday and the server was annoyed with us whenever we asked for something she was not friendly at all like she had to do her job. Not ever going back!!

We went on a Thursday and it was a group of 13 maybe 14 . The restaurant was empty and they would not sit us down until the entire group showed up .. mind you we had 2 very elderly people that the staff could clearly see . After being told it was there “rule” we waited and had lunch and we celebrated a birthday and when we asked for utensils, they gave us tablespoons and told us they didn’t have any silverware unwrapped. Again we complied with their rules. In my opinion, the food is overrated and overpriced. This is not authentic Mexican restaurant much less food. I lived in the big city of Dallas, my whole life and can name a few restaurants that are upscale authentic Mexican cuisines. This was the first and will be the last time. I will dine in this facility when I’m in town.
