Really impressed with their rib and brisket. Very flavourful and not overly salty. Fast, friendly service. The team at the counter were really helpful and patient. I’ve tried other BBQ places in San Angelo based on reviews and ratings, so I’m suprised Bodacious doesn’t have a higher rating. In my opinion, hey are on par, or better than some of the other higher rated BBQ places in the area.

Tonight, for the first time ever, I have a complaint. This is and will continue to be my favorite BBQ restaurant, but I ordered a slice of the coconut pie and it was very different from the coconut pie they used to serve. It's not even pie crust, it's like Graham cracker crust maybe. It tasted like the terrible coconut pie that is served at Shannon hospital. Very disappointing. But the sliced brisket and beans were excellent as always!!! Need homemade dessert though. That pie tasted like a cheap frozen pie. Sorry. 😕

I go home for about two weeks once a year and I can honestly say out of the 10+ countries outside of North America I’ve been to, this establishment is by far the best. Their brisket and sandwiches give my dad’s a run for his money on his best days. If someone reads this and tells him, I’ll find out lol just kidding. But seriously, the best. And their kindness, unfortunately it’s unmatched especially these days. I take all my friends here. Better than any Chik-Fil-A, any Korean BBQ, eastern US state BBQ restaurant and I’ll firmly stand and fight by those words haha keep up the work guys/gals!

Grew up in East Texas eating Bodacious barbecue, so happy to find it way out here in west Texas! Was not disappointed. Pulled pork is my favorite. Absolutely love the potato salad.

It was nice and quiet when we went today. Got the mailman sandwich, friend got the lunch special. The place was clean, the people were friendly.
I am visiting .I got the combination plate, brisket, sausage and rib. The brisket was extremely dry, I know that it's sold by weight but one rib bone is not good. The sauce didn't help the brisket. Born and raised in San Angelo. I recommend this place with reservations . I give the sausage a 6.5 out of 10. The rib I give 3.5 out of 10. This does not taste like West Central Texas BBQ. Just speaking from my taste buds. ? Staff was very friendly, great customer service. I grew up eating BBQ in Texas. I now live in Georgia and this would rank low in Georgia BBQ, which I don't rank high to begin with. There are some that imitate Texas BBQ, that's OK. Please use this comment to improve your business. Thank you. My Brother in James Blount gave your establishment an outstanding review and recommended your restaurant. I didn't want to mention this. I am a retired Chef. Your meat items were at least twelve hours old. There's no way that the brisket and rib was cut the day I ordered. It was extremely dry . That doesn't happen with fresh cut meat unless it was overcooked. I always try to help small businesses. Please accept my criticism as help. I'm not criticisming to hurt but hopefully to help. I would recommend this restaurant with reservations. The meats were very dry. The sauce was outstanding, service outstanding, atmosphere, ambiance was good. But the meats were at least 12 hours old. Anyone in the culinary field knows fresh cut and leftovers. This restaurant does not represent Texas BBQ. The brisket and rib was extremely dry. The sauce didn't help.

This restaurant shouldn’t sell on UberEats if it constantly runs out menu items. I’ve been charged over $25 twice now in one week on cancellation fee’s. Why is it an option on Uber Eats to order items not available? Ridiculous I have to play $25 for a mistake by the restaurant to not update what’s available.
