I called in an order at 5:35 PM and was told it would be ready in 40 minutes. While that was already longer than expected, I understood. However, the food was not ready for over an hour, and by the time we got home it was cold.
On top of the delay, our order was completely wrong—even though I confirmed it twice with the host. Bonsai missed three of our meals, did not include an order of white rice (the only thing my son will eat), left out extra soup, and did not provide ginger, which was specifically requested. Instead, they sent four chicken and shrimp meals when only two were ordered.
This mistake was especially serious because someone in our family is allergic to shrimp, and every meal we received contained shrimp, leaving that person unable to eat at all.
To make matters worse, we were overcharged for items we did not order, and when I called to speak with a manager to resolve the issue, the manager refused to call me back. That is completely unacceptable.
This experience was extremely frustrating from start to finish. Between the long wait, incorrect and unsafe order, missing items, overcharging, and lack of management response, this place is clearly disorganized and needs to get things under control. I am very, very upset and disappointed

The female worker don’t know her name we had asked for a booth didn’t give us an answer we asked for a table didn’t say she said it’s very busy and I understand because it did looked busy but we asked for the wait for both she just guessed and looked like she didn’t want to be there very very very poor communication skills very very poor service she scratched her head and was chewing her gum we love this restaurant but after tonight I don’t even want to come back she needs work on her working skills..

I do not recommend coming for the sushi. It was not good because the fish tasted and smelled bad. The inside of the restaurant did not smell good but the server did a wonderful job so that is the only reason I am giving 3 stars.

Due to a miscommunication, we had to order for a party of 20, just a few hours before the event. Allison, the host that day, was incredibly helpful and professional, called me back as she said she would, and got everything entered correctly. Justin took my payment when I called back, and was very friendly and also professional. When we came to pick up at the agreed upon time, when we pick it up, everything was perfect. Our guests raved about the food!
At a time when good staff is hard to find, Bonsai Garden is blessed to have a team that works well together and understands the importance of good customer service. Thank you for helping me out of a potentially embarrassing situation. We will be back!

The food is great, the cook was great, decent service, but goodness this restaurant needs an absolute update and a clean. With the amount of folks going in surprised they haven’t updated, or cleaned. The grease everywhere is just. Bleh. They had a little ac system thing by where we sat, with a condensation catch and it was covered in mold. And it is always hot. It’s 100 degrees outside and it’s hotter inside the restaurant. I’ve been going for years and it’s always like that.
