One of my favorite places to eat, has been since I was a kid. With my hectic schedule dining out isn't an available option for me often. When I do takeout it's always good.. if you can get them to actually answer the phone. It's a 50/50 on if they do or not. Not to mention their ordering online hasn't worked in ages.

So, ummm, the facilities are needed to be fixed or updated. The men's bathroom...I mean...who latex paints ceramic tile floors? Not sanitary. Fountain soda had no carbonation. If you want less than five star food, go here.

5 years I've been in the area looking for decent Mexican food: found it...I've been all over san angelo and pfft..the food at some of those so-called Mexican places...Alejandras , Pete's, absolutely horrifying..Gils is hands down the best food we've found..gr8 food, above decent service and nice cool setting...Xcellent...eat there...you'll be glad you did.

The food is amazing. The service is top notch. The prices are comparable to higher end fast food. My family of 4 had queso and 4 dinners for 46 dollars.

The pancakes had crisp edges and the bacon wasn't all shriveled! But I'd steer away from the soda, it wasn't great.
Food was excellent! Ordered chicken enchiladas and was given choice of sauces and was not disappointed. Great flavors and large servings. Their queso is some of the best I've tried here in San Angelo so far. The staff was helpful and attentive and was happy they offered Big Red to drink... Pleasant variety
