Recently, a new owner has brought Halfmann's back to its roots, reviving the great flavor of their cutout cookies, which are now soft and melt in the mouth. They offer a good cake to frosting ratio and have a friendly staff that is happy to answer questions. Customers can buy items straight out of the case and enjoy seasonal cupcakes like eggnog and peppermint. The bakery is recommended for a visit in the downtown area. The artistry and design of custom cakes like the King of Spades may fall below expectations, but the taste and texture are great. They have received praise for their cakes, including a fabulous cake ordered for a baby shower and a wonderful graduation cake, which was made perfectly according to the customer's vision.
