I hosted my mom's 75th birthday celebration on July 27, 2024 at the Pearl on the Concho and The Hampton's Kitchen & Catering catered the event. All 150 guests loved the food, the sweet and sour meatballs as an appetizer, and the smoked brisket with fixins as part of the main meal were a huge success! I planned this catered event from Washington, DC and Courtney was remarkable at getting the food right! I thank Courtney and his staff for making my mom's birthday celebration a huge success and highly recommend using The Hampton's Kitchen & Catering for any special occassion. Thanks again Courtney and staff for a great experience and delicious food!
First I must say that the staff is exceptionally wonderful and friendly. The serving and dining area is very clean and maintained. The food overall was good so why the 2 stars? The issue I have is with the fried chicken which leaves me concerned if it was safe to eat. The fried chicken itself is very good but they take and chop it into smaller pieces anywhere from 2" to 3" inches. Leaving these bits and pieces of broken bone all through the chicken. Now mind you that most of the people that eat there are elderly like myself having half the teeth to chew with. Thus my concern is possibly swallowing these small bones and chocking on them. I can't imagine why they do this especially when I would guess that the the majority of people they serve are elderly. Other than that go and enjoy a good meal just skip the chicken or eat it at your own risk.

Attended a Women’s Business lunch today here. The poor little lady taking the money gave me the wrong change back. She is probably a volunteer so don’t want to harp on that issue. The food was not fresh. I mean the broccoli salad had brown broccoli in it. The carrot salad was dried out and discolored. My friend went to eat a piece of cheese in the macaroni salad and it had mold on it. The only edible main dish was the meat. The rice was burnt to the bottom of the pan. The tamales had been picked through. And the desserts appear to be store bought and just sliced up. For $10.50 I don’t expect much, but edible would be nice. I hope the women’s group finds another location for their monthly meetings, otherwise I’ll have to bring my lunch to attend. I hope I don’t get sick.
